To be honest with you, I haven't crossed on a mod of yours. Checking now.. and I think your mods is what we need. Nothing super over-placing/over-changing things, just adding few stuff more. I like your mods.
Just concider if you may create a version (of all your mods), simply adding more districts to the major cities, that's all. Overal, I think your mods are great and the level of "overhaul" an ancient game like Skyrim needs.
Also, concider after you finish all towns/villages etc., to check and create something for the DOCKS too (and an AiO mod, to the end).
Thank you! I probably won't be making any mods that add entirely new districts to all the cities. If you are looking for mods that do that, at least for a couple, I recommend Capital Whiterun Expansion and Capital Windhelm Expansion. As for the docks, I might end up doing a couple dock overhauls, maybe Solitude, Windhelm, and Riften, but I haven't decided yet.
I know these (huge) mods you wrote. The problem is... they adding TOO much. If I was capable to use the CK, I would simply created districts with more houses (for those NPCs they don't have own houses) and adding more 'no-name citizens' walking around, just to make the users believe they entered a large capital/city. WITHOUT quests... without scripts... without new dialogues... without too much changes. Just a visual ILLUSION that the cities are... big.
I don't know about adding entirely new districts, but in honesty I'd love to see RubberSpaghetti tackle something like the exteriors of the main cities since those areas tend to have about as much going on as a small in game village but rarely seem to be addressed, especially in more small scale lightweight mods like these. Really though I'd like to see them overhaul everything, since they add just the right amount of detail imo, but that'd be way too much lmao.
Like I wrote... I've stopped using ANY city-town mods, because the authors adding too much stuff. All I want is larger (scale) cities, with more citizens wondering around, to making me feel "I entered a large living city", not the... small villages Bethesda made (vanilla speaking).
So, it's not difficult (I believe) for Spaghetti to add more roads and more houses ("districts") and a dozen NPCs walking around these areas. Every vanilla city has HUGE open/empty spaces - check Whiterun for example. You can add few more houses (for those NPCs they don't have one) and add a couple small roads between them; and few (8-12) more NPCs in the market area, just to feel the city is "live" and large. That's all.
I wish I had talent with that crap tool (CK); I would easily done what I'm dreaming of (for the cities).
Just stumbled upon this series today, and must say I'm in love and can't wait to check them all out in-game. This one for Ivarstead might have compatibility issues with Merchants of Skyrim. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/55469
Could also be conflicts for Morthal and Dragon Bridge, but I'm definitely going to check them out in game and try and get back to you soon
Can confirm, Ivarstead is compatible with Merchants of Skyrim, with only some minor clipping from logs/woodpiles near Narfi's house
thank you for this and all your other city/town mods that provide subtle, yet immersive additions that keep the locations looking fresh, without crippling my FPS.
Super cheeky request but I use Ivarstead Guard Overhaul and it leaves the stockade floating at the back entrance. Would you consider a patch to remove it?
Great details in this one, I like it a lot! Ivarstead desperately needed an overhaul. May I ask for a patch (or an update lol) without the new fishing rods on the bridge? There are many mods that touch that bridge (in my case, More Wooden Bridges) and those rods are floating in my game XD
Thanks! I knew adding those to the bridge would come back to bite me, haha! I just can't help but make more work for myself! Yea I will upload a patch in a bit, are the flags and posts added to the bridges ok, or do those need to go too?
Personally, I'm using More Wooden Bridges. The only issue I see is with the fishing rods, the flags and posts are fine. I was going to make a patch for myself, but if you are going to do it, that's probably better.
