RIM is a texture mod that has been developed from Bionic and grVulture that features a leap forward in quality and style of the original textures. Majority of the textures have been greatly improved in many ways to name a few examples:
Various textures have received a complete make over and recreation. From low pixelated texture to a fully detailed texture.
The normal maps of all textures have been reconstructed and improved to be much more accurate and add greater depth of detail.
But that's not all ! Because of these improvements we have new gained benefits like: Improved sun reflections
Of course there are other various noticeable improvements that should be visible while in game. Like the parallax refractions.. But I'll let you check them out yourself :)
Requirements
There are no hard requirements as these textures will work without these mods but our original mods: RIS - Real Ice and Snow / IMR - Icy Mesh Remaster are heavily recommended to be used with these. As it will fill in any gaps in lack of quality or other unforeseen issues that you might otherwise have. These textures were made with use of IMR meshes.
Installation notes
To clear up some confusion about getting this mod to work fully, here's some notes in regards of load order and priorities to watch out for.
This mod is a textural improvement of the original mod RIS Ice only. This does not include snow.

1#: If you want to use this mod with RIS: RIS RIM
2#: If you want to use this mod with IMR, SoS and RIS: RIS SoS IMR RIM
RIM has to always win the conflict. Otherwise you wont see the textures from RIM.
If you're using this with IMR then I recommend using the IMR 2.0+. IMR has a provided LOD patch made specifically to work with RIM. Do not use RIS LOD with this, the brightness levels will not match and will look strange as a result.
