WARNING!!! Do not download unless you want to...Experience some wild things that are inconsistent. sometimes it works fine but more than not, after reloading a save, you will start experiencing game breaking bugs.... I got the zero damage bug where both PC and NPC do absolutely no damage to each other. Furthermore if you don't block a hit, and suffer a big hit, then you will be yeeted to the edge of the map!!! Lieteraly teleported to something that looked like morrowind mountains at one point.... I spent hours removing mod by mod until I finally discovered this mod was the issue.

TLDR: DON'T DOWNLOAD UNLESS YOU WANT GAME BREAKING BUGS!!!

This is broken as all hell. Highly recommend not to download. Author has no intentions of updating.

Wounds compatibility patch would be interesting, assuming the location damage works on the player.

Just an FYI in case anyone missed it: Wounds - Some Improvements seems to accomplish this

I can't wait for the day some madman integrates this framework into True Armor.

That would be truly legendary. One can only hope it comes to fruition.

yes, also found this causes no damage issues, though weirdly it can be very inconsistent. I had this installed a little while with combat working fine, but then will also clearly entirely break precision. it also doesnt seem to work at all? at least with the wounds addon. so somethings gone q wrong

This was long expected but it still relies on Papyrus scripting.
That archaic scripting language is a killer.
Waiting forward for an even better implementation.

I wont get any seriously gamebreaking performance decreases since the old locational damage itself only added a 10% to 12% extra engine load when i triggered them in combat but its still too much by modern standards and its ridiculous such a simple functions to cause -1 to -3 framerate decrease. In heavy dense modded areas its like a drop from 54 to 51 fps for me even if i still got 3000+ spare VRAM so not gpu or ram related and its not like Skyrim can benefit from more CPU cores and threads so its unacceptable.
Hope bethesda does something better in their newer titles obviously.

I will download and endorse however because this was a much wanted feature.

I don't see any .pex files in the file though. This mod uses .dll to do the effects, so it should cost no performance at all (because .dll)

Not sure whether you've actually tried this mod in your game or not

What gave you the impression this uses papyrus scripts? It doesn't. It's an SKSE plugin.

I haven't the slightest idea. Was waiting for feedback. Locational Damage used to even with the SKSE Plugin it increased the engine load whenever it updated. Small and more optimized then the original though.
Not an issue if you have fps spare but on my old pc i didn't have.

Now on this one its not issue but depends how much i will drop fps with visual mods just because i can go heavier with the visuals, i do go heavier and there's no limit of how heavy you can go so some locations (rare) might drop me to 54 or so but lets pretend you have a fight go on, then all the complex particle effects of magic etc. maybe even hdt on and you add even more load such as going full complex parallax and then introduce mods that update with more scripts or any task during combat that 54 could become less on these locations even if these locations are rare. Sometimes it can be 55 or 56. Or even 58 or 62. Up to 75+ but still there are locations that might become heavy.

Locational Damage was one of those mods that increased the load alot.
There are mods such as Frostfall or Ineed etc. for which thankfully we got modern replacements.
Then we got SPID that eliminates mods that relied on Cloak Spell effect to apply modifications to AI and so on.

So the question is like: Is ''Precision - Unofficial Locational Damage Framework'' the ''SPID'' of Location Damage mods?
      I dont know...

There's no Papyrus involved in this mod whatsoever lol, none of the stuff you're talking about is relevant

There's not a question of relevancy or not lol. I am just a random Skyrim Player thinking loudly while seeking information.
Internet responses be like ''You. Guilty''
Anyway. Its good to know how the mod works and that its Locational Damage ''NG'' so that should clear possible assumptions.
I also believe that should encourage more people to try it out because the old Location Damage had a ''So so reputation'' especially in Steam Workshop and Reddit.

The mod doesn't do anything on its own, btw. It's a framework that requires mods to rely on its functions to apply any effects to the game. However, there's currently a issue that makes pretty much every single hit a one-hit-kill. As the author states, he's not going to fix this anytime soon. So dropping the mod for now is recommended.

I've noticed similar behavior, where PC and NPCs deal some large amount of damage, so everything is practically a one-shot.  Without this mod, damage is as per normal.

This only works for version 1.6.640, right? Or will it also work for 1.6.353?
