.: Overview :.

Slider Splicer is a command line script to combine 0 and 100 weight sliders from any number of different BodySlide presets.
  • Quickly make hundreds of presets from files you already have to get even more shapes for your body diversity mod.
  • Instantly get your ideal 0-100 body combination to be used along with your dynamic muscle growth mod.
  • Works on every body type and sex. If the presets are made for BodySlide, they can be spliced.

.: Setup :.

Download and install
Slider Splicer as a regular mod. There are only 3 simple rules you must follow to begin splicing sliders.

Rule #1 : "There can be only one preset per file."

Almost every preset comes in individual files already. However, if you happen to have a file featuring multiple presets, you must open it with any text editor and split its contents in single presets per XML.
Slider Splicer will ignore and warn you of files featuring multiple presets. As an example, all CBBE default presets come in a file called "CBBE.xml". So, most of them were moved to individual files and included in the package for your convenience.

You might want to abbreviate or remove unnecessary bits from their names, so the resulting name doesn't get too big.

Rule #2 : "There must be, at least, two different files. One in each folder."

Following down the
BodySlide structure (CalienteTools\BodySlide\..), you'll find two new folders:

  • SliderPresetsHi : Any presets placed here will be used as reference for high weight sliders.
  • SliderPresetsLo : The same as above, but for low weight sliders.

You can have the same presets in both folders.
Slider Splicer won't try to combine files with identical names.
There's no limit of presets each folder can hold. However, the more presets you feed the script, the longer it takes to finish.
The script is able to distinguish body types. That means, you can have - CBBE, UNP, HIMBO, etc. - all sharing the same Hi and Lo folders.

Rather than copying files, MO2 users can go to each preset mod and append Hi or Lo to SliderPresets folder name.

Rule #3 : "The path to your Skyrim data folder has to be set in line 03 of data.bat."

When trying to run
Slider Splicer.cmd for the first time, a tiny batch file named data.bat will be generated.
If you're in
MO2, it can be found in your Overwrite folder. Otherwise, it's in the same folder as Slider Splicer.cmd.
There will be more information on what to do with this file further down.

If you're going to run the script outside MO2, set the path to Slider Splicer folder instead.

.: Usage :.

These instructions assume you're using
MO2. To run the script without it, simply double-click the file.

A. Adding the tool as executable.
  • In the right panel, select Data tab and expand KlausGamingStash folder, then Tools.
  • Right-click on "Slider Splicer.cmd" and select "Add as Executable".
  • When prompted to enter a name, click OK.

B. Setting up the tool (this only has to be done once for all my command line scripts).
  • At the top-right corner, in the drop-down menu, select Slider Splicer and click Run.
  • Close the tool. You will notice that a file named data.bat appeared in your Overwrite folder.
  • Open that file with a text editor of your choice and set the correct path to your Skyrim data folder.
  • Save these changes and return to MO2.
  • Move data.bat from Overwrite to a new or existing mod folder.

C. Running the tool.
  • At the top-right corner, in the drop-down menu, select Slider Splicer and click Run.
  • Once the script is done and closed, move its output from Overwrite over to a new or existing mod folder.

Instead of adding it as an executable, you can right-click "Slider Splicer.cmd" and select "Execute with VFS".

I'd like to say thanks to Caliente and Ousnius for BodySlide and CBBE.
The presets included are just their "CBBE.xml" split into individual files.
