TWEAKS
- You can now assign a key to display a list of container usages in percent (see screenshot). If you try to use the key during a complete storage resync, a message appears informing you of that and the window waits until the resync is complete before popping up.
- Your character now says an audible "I dropped it" when dropping items. I did this because I kept dropping items without noticing it. The FOMOD gives you a variety of male/female VASynth created voices to choose from during the install. This audible voice can be turned on or off in the MCM.
- The maximum allowable storage for the base and bag containers has been increased in the MCM. Base container max is now 1000 instead of 150, and bags are 500 instead of 150. Note that these are just the new maximums; you can set the sliders to whatever numbers you want.
- Warning messages now appear in the upper left when added items fill containers over 80%. This feature can be turned on/off in the MCM.
- When a complete resync of the storage containers is initiated, notifications appear in the upper left letting you know when it starts and ends.
- Built-in support for backpacks from other mods (FLM required). Currently supported mods: HDT-SMP Traveler's Backpack, Usable Packs with Straps, and Akali-Styled Backpack - HDT SMP (only the static version of Akali was tested). If you have another backpack mod, just add the formids to the RAB_InvLimits_Backpacks_FLM.ini file.
- Built-in support for currency mods so that their coinage and paper currencies are treated like gold/septims (FLM required). Currently supported mods: Google's Imperial Bank, Skyrim Currency System SE, Foreign Currency, Coins of Tamriel SSE, C.O.I.N. - Coins of Interesting Natures, and Exchange Currency SE. If you have another currency mod, just add the formids to the RAB_InvLimits_Currency_FLM.ini file.
FAQ
Q: Why is SKSE required?
A: I use its functions in the modified script. btw it's also required by the original mod anyway, so nothing will work right unless you have SKSE. (IMPORTANT NOTE: Version 2.0.20 of SKSE is required in order for the MCM keyboard shortcut to get saved to your game file. If you are using a previous version you may have to set the shortcut again every time you load your save. Thanks to SandGentleman for isolating this issue.)
Q: Why is it important to know when a full resync is underway?
A: Because it can take a long time on a slow machine, and you should avoid adding/removing items to/from your inventory until it finishes. Note that a full resync is performed at game load and also whenever you close the RAB Inventory Limits MCM menu. This means if you think RAB is out of sync, you can just go into the MCM and then close it to perform a full resync.
Q: Those VASynth voices aren't that great. Can you provide something better?
A: Probably not, but you can use any short .wav file you want instead, or even create one by recording your own voice or any other sound. That's what I did for my own play-through. Just put the wave file in this location: \sound\fx\npc\RAB_InvLimits\RABInv_DropSound.wav
Q: Why does the popup say look in the MCM for the last storage container?
A: The papyrus function I'm using (message.show()) can only handle 9 dynamic substitutions, so i couldn't display the last container's percentage.
Q: The messages and the storage display seem immersion breaking. Shouldn't they say "Bag One" or "Backpack Pocket One" instead of "Container"?
A: I thought about changing it but decided to use the terminology from the original author which is the same terminology you see in the MCM. I suppose I could change the messages and the MCM to something different if there's enough interest.
