me too for the longest time, and thanks to the hard work of the talented Monitor144, now you can.
WHAT THIS MOD DOES
BMO allows you to cast spells like a true bard - through your lute! Zap your opponents with the watts going through your sick strums and rocking riffs! all spells are compatible from constant casts like flames and heal, to charge ups like ice spike and cloaks.
all casts are accompanied by a strum of the lute, playing either a quick chord or a full song, all of which can be configured to custom music
I CAN ADD CUSTOM MUSIC?
Yep! There are two ways, either replace the existing sound files, or add more custom tracks with some simple Creation Kit or xEdit changes!Method 1 (replace existing files):
METHOD 1 (Replace Existing Files)
If you installed manually, go to Data>Sound>fx>mus>bard>lute and you can replace each .wav file.
If you installed using Vortex , you will NOT go into the data folder, but instead navigate to a similar lute folder through the mod stating folder. this way you will not have to redo all your music each time Vortex deploys.
in that folder you will find various single cast sound files and also longer constant-cast sound files.
the "slow" casts [mus_slwbardlute.wav] are for telekinesis, and "fast" [mus_fstbardlute.wav] is for wards. everything else will use the "normal" [mus_nmbardlute.wav]
METHOD 2 (add new tracks)
Open Creation Kit, set Bard Magic Overhaul as the active file, press ok. In the Sound Descriptor section, type BMO in the filter box: There should be descriptors that correspond to fast, slow, and normal songs respectively. To add new songs alongside existing ones, open the descriptor for the category of bard songs you'd like to add to and add more tracks in the Sound box.
HOW DO I START CASTING LIKE A BARD?
all you need is a lute in your inventory and a point in a specific perk in the Speech tree
Vanilla - Allure
Ordinator - Performer
Adamant - Persuasion
MOD COMPATIBILITY
- AE (1.6) version of skyrim
