I'm working on a little Apocrypha mod and while playtesting and tweaking I found these smokey things annoying and intrusive. This mod simply tweaks the transparency of the effect to half, akin to the classic mod Dimmer Fog.
Smoke's still there but instead of inhaling it through your eyes it's more subtle and atmospheric, at least to me. Your mileage may vary depending on your ENB.
Compatability: I know no mod that changes these meshes, let me know if you come across an overwrite.
Install/uninstall: Whenever wherever.
How to make custom changes in case they look too dim in your ENB:
-Open one of the files in nifskope
-Click open the root BSFadeNode
-Theres two TriShapes, click the one with the mesh name colon number (eg. FXApoMist01Long:0). Editor marker shape is useless to us.
-Open the BSEffectShaderProperty under it
-Scroll down the block details until you come across a grey bar with a beach ball titled Emissive Color.
-Double click the grey bar, leave R, G and B values as they are but change A to like 0.750 or something. Vanilla value is 1.000, I have it at 0.500
-Save, test, repeat on rest of the meshes. They all have the same mesh structure.
