Hey, what is that silver sword reshape mod? It doesn't look like vanilla silver sword.

    Hello again,

Just a quick question. How does the damage scaling work? Is it just the weapon base damage x whichever option we choose (I.e. vanilla, 1.25, or 1.5)?

    thanks,

      Hello back :)
Very late reply, I'm quite sorry.

The Vanilla option is to add a flat amount of damage to your weapon (+20 if I remember right), just like in the Vanilla game. The difference with the options I provided is that they are multiplicative, so if your sword has 20 damage, x1.5 option would turn that into 30 damage when hitting a vulnerable race. I found that more interesting as in high difficulties or during late-game, the vanilla additive amount becomes more and more irrelevant, however the multiplicative one is always relevant without being absurd either.

Would this be able to work with Dawnguard Weapons are Silver, mainly if the expanded range of creatures will take extra damage using Dawnguard weapons?

Sorry for the late reply ,:)
Dawnguard Weapons are Silver seems to be very mindful of compatibility as its method is to distribute the silver weapon keyword to the Dawnguard weapons. This should work just fine with my mod, it works by changing the silver weapons perk (a hidden perk your character has all the time) and that perk activates if your weapon has that keyword.

Is there any chance that you could upload a second file with silver weapons added to the steel smithing perk? So that downloading KID wont be necessary?

I'm sorry but this isn't viable. It would be highly incompatible with any mod you have that affects silver weapons as I would be obliged to alter their record directly without being able to carry over all other changes brought in by your other mods. I opted for the KID option to provide maximum compatibility, and to be honest I can't imagine why you wouldn't want to use that mod, it and its requirements are pretty upstanding mods that form the bedrock that allows many many mods to play well together. If not now, you may eventually come back to them anyways out of necessity.

In any case, while I won't do it for you, I'd suggest you to pick up xEdit and simply add the "WeaponSmithingSteel" keyword to your silver weapons. These kinds of personal edits are best done by one's self after all. Good luck and sorry I couldn't be of more direct help :/

Does the weakness to silver also affect mod added creatures?

Hey sorry, wasn't playing much Skyrim lately.
As for mod added creatures, it depends. The condition for the silver damage to proc is the creature's race, if that mod adds creatures that belong to any of the specified races, it should inherit the weakness as well. If somehow that mod adds a new race, then sorry, but it won't work out of the box :/

I think after i install this, vampires now equip silver swords)))
I cant  say100% that is your mod, but i dont have mods that change any silver weapons in game.

      Extremely unlikely :/

You might as well hand over a load order so that I can work on this, otherwise I'll leave you with this:
This mod doesn't alter loot tables. It doesn't distribute items through SPID.
It's actually a childishly simple mod, you can just open it up on xEdit to see for yourself.
If you have xEdit, you could also open it up with every mod loaded and look up vampire's loot tables.

Well for one, I'd say mine is much more lightweight and minimalist, as well as more modular.
At the root of it, this mod aims to fix the Silver Crossbows added in Anniversary Edition.

The more involved parts of this mod are also pretty simple, extra silver damage or extra creatures vulnerable to silver. I didn't touch any records of any creatures, just the silverperk. It also doesn't add or modify scripts.

I suspect that other mod aims to distribute perks to specific NPC's (and perhaps it might benefit from a SPID version for that too :/) in order to increase their resistance to non silver weapons. If you already have difficulty mods, perhaps my mod would more easily fit in your load order.

Up to you to decide of course :)

I wanna start by saying this is amazing. Instantly downloaded when I saw it. Is there any Possibility of you adding an optional version without the CC Crossbow requirement though? The silver perk does not seem to be working when I tested it on a spriggan. I cant view it in SSEEdit for more info because I'm missing the requirement. I'm open to alternative suggestions as well. I do have CCOR installed which makes changes to the silver perk I believe but I have this mod way down in my load order for testing so it should take priority right?

      Hey there :)
Glad you liked the idea! I see that you're on version 1.1.1, I kinda got ahead of you and made that SE friendly version on the meantime, you should update and check it out ;)

I am curious about your Spriggan situation however, I'm downloading CCOR to check, and I'll get back to you on that.

Edit: Checked it out, yes it does affect the silver perk. If you want the extra creatures addon, you'll probably wanna make sure to load my plugin after CCOR, though in this case I'd suspect a nice patch with SSEdit will work wonders :/

After slaughtering many Spriggans, the silver perk is definitely working for the silver sword. Thank you for uploading the separate version and doing it so quickly! The silver bolts added by Rare Curios (the only CC mod I have) do not benefit from the perk though despite having the WeapMaterialSilver keyword. Any idea why?

Also, you should add trolls to the list.

The Silver Bolts actually have their own unique Silver Perk shipped with the Rare Curios creation!
They add a 20 flat damage and I think that's neat, (and also, quite significant for a bolt!), so I've decided to leave that as is ;)

As far as Trolls are concerned, I decided they were not that magical or cursed, and classified them in my headcannon as "weird apes". They look native to the Skyrim world too, so I didn't think it was necessary ,:)

Very nice.  I like it, and it will go very well with Ghosts Mechanics and Shaders Restored - Cut Content Restoration? as well as Idrinth's Tweaks - Silvered Weapons

I suspect Idrinth's Tweaks - Silvered Weapons to be mostly incompatible, the only compatible option from here would be to get just the Simple crossbow fix, the other options will change the SilverPerk, which is what that mod also does...
      Sorry ,:)

hmm.  thanks I was just finally able to download, as the file was stuck for awile in the upload process, so i haven't had an opportunity to take a look in xedit.  I'll let you know.

Edit: yup that is definitely confirmed.  Idrinth's Tweaks - Silvered weapons definitely is a hard conflict.
It also requires the actual AE Edition of Skyrim, not just the update.  I missed that connection in the description.

Sorry for that, technically speaking you only need the Expanded Crossbows Creation in order to use this...
Perhaps I could make a SE version that only modifies Silver weapons, and not the crossbow? I feel it would be beneficial maybe :/

Edit: Will work on an SE version, no need to restrict this mod's usage :(

There is definitely room for a mod like that.  Silver weapons as a functional game element has been severely underutilized, and there is plenty of room to expand on it.  I definitely like your extra monsters/silver additions.  I also really like Idrinth's Silver Tweaks.
I'm not crazy about the way Bring your Silver made things work

Do wispmothers gain bonus damage from silver?

Anything classified as a "Wisp" really
    https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Wisp

I feel like they should personally.  They are like something between spriggans and ghosts. Nature spirits of sorts.
