About this mod

Allows for all normal weapons to be silvered, increasing their damage against undead and werecreatures by 5 and 20%. Pure silver weapons deal additional 10 damage against undead and werecreatures and dremora.

Requirements
Permissions and credits
Changelogs
This adjusts the silver perk in vanilla, removing all effects and adds a new one, that is distributed via SPID to all NPCs and via Quest to the Player.
This should make silver and upgrading your weapons useful through the whole game without bringing a major balance issue with it.

How to craft the weapons

To give the option to silver weapons, you need to patch your loadorder via the provided script. The intended version is only bladed weapons, but there are options for all melee weapons and all weapons.
Load the base file and the new patch in any order you want.
You absolutely need the base file, otherwise there will be no effect for investing silver into your weapon.

How to get the weapons distributed

The Patcher generates a SPID-Config for all patched weapons, that will add a low-ish chance for Guards, Guard Captains, Vigilants of Stendarr, Dawnguard and Silver Hand to recieve the weapons.

How to get the silver adjustments only

To get the adjustments to silver damage only, you just need to use the main file and SPID. It will do the following in order:
  • Add 5 damage against werecreatures, dremora and undead
  • Add 10 damage against werecreatures, dremora and undead if pure(i.e. only silver as material)
  • Add 20% damage against werecreatures and undead

How to Use the Patcher
  • Launch SSEEdit
  • When you get the popup asking what to load just click "OK" to load all your active plugins.
  • Select all the plugins
  • Right-click and select "Apply Script" from the drop-down menu.
  • In the "Script" drop-down, select the patcher
  • Click Ok.
  • Click Ok and wait for the script to run. Depending on your load order and system specs it might take a little while.
  • Once it's done, scroll to the bottom of your load order and you should see the new plugin you created at the bottom. You can close SSEEdit now. Make sure to save the new plugin when prompted.
  • Activate the new plugin and make sure it's last in your load order.
