Are there any male skin textures I can use alongside Reverie to achieve visual consistency between genders in my game without having to use body replacers for BnP? Reverie’s skin textures are perfect for women, but men have it rough. I have tried both Skysight and Vitruvia, but IMO they look too different from Reverie for it not to bother me.
I'm using Tempered Skins alongside...er.... SOS-Light, of all things, and it seems to work pretty well. You could also look at The New Gentleman (haven't tried it yet, myself), which is very new.
I worked on The New Gentlemen and did essentially all of the texture work for that. It is essentially the most stylistically cogent match to Reverie! I do still plan to release textures separately but the delay is due to the fact that I like to provide many options (like body hair and compatibility with different body replacers) so for now that doesn't exist. Admittedly for now TNG does have the same texture issues as better males in that if you look at men's upper legs there are seams (when clothed). I can only hope you can overlook it for now! If you don't want the genitals from that mod (understandable) deleting/hiding all but the textures folder should do the trick.
When you do! I don't work on this stuff regularly, so it's a matter of when I start and how long I keep going and whether I take breaks and such. Like can I say it'll be a month, two, a year? I don't know! Before TESVI. :)
This is an extremely stupid question, and I was hoping to avoid having to bother you, but is there a way to prevent these textures from applying to ElderRace npcs?
Reverie looks fantastic and I love it on most npcs but the ElderRace is different from the regular races and unfortunately the ElderRace women end up all looking the same age as the rest of the women, which is a bit...odd for me, since most of them have older children. I'm not finding any way to exclude them in easyNPC because there's no plugin, so I'm assuming I'd have to go in and edit files manually?
Yep, but I'm not likely to make a mod for that I'm afraid. I would maybe look into your shader (ENB) setting to see if you can get them to look a little older? They're primarily made old through their normal maps which, although I admittedly softened, I did not change to the extent that they don't look old in my game.
Can this be reinstalled mid-playthrough without breaking the game? I love the slightly "mature" preset of the mod, but I find that there's literally no young women left in Skyrim because of it, so I'm curious how is the default one.
Hi. I've found a small and nearly unnoticeable neck seam, it doesn't interrupt the game and I'm just wondering is this problem on my side or is it something all textures mod have? I'm using CBBE body, so maybe this is the problem with that mod...
I'm sorry, I've checked it right now and well...it took an effort to notice this, so it's not really a problem. Or maybe I'm just seeing things at this moment.
