Note: For those using All Geared Up Derivative SE - ALLGUD uncheck these two settings otherwise they conflict with the mod: - Adjust Shield position for Cloaks; - Adjust Shield position for Backpacks.
This mod finally allowed me to have -- Cloaks, Swords on Back, Shields on Back *and* Cloak Physics. This is how I got there --
Load Order: 1. HDT-SMP - Skinned Mesh Physics 2. XP32 Maximum Skeleton Special Extended - XPMSSE 3. Cloaks of Skyrim SSE 4. Cloaks of Skyrim Retextured SE 5. Artesian Cloaks of Skyrim 6. Artesian Cloaks - Cloaks of Skyrim Retextured HDT-SMP 7. Simple Dual Sheath 8. Simple Dual Sheath - XPMSSE Left Hand Sheath Rotation Fix 9. Weapons Repositioner SE
Tweaks required: - In the XPMSSE MCM menu, make sure your weapons of choice are selected to be positioned on your back. This may seem obvious, but I thought I'd mention it. - In the Simple Dual Sheath ini, make sure ShieldOnBack flags are added to Player (and NPC if you prefer). - In the Weapons Repositioner ini (WeaponsRepositionerSE.ini), I changed fValuePosY=3.5. This doesn't remove all clipping, but if you want your shield on the back behind your sword (behind your cloak) you don't want to make this number too large. Apparently the shield on back mechanics from both Simple Dual Sheath and Ecotone Dual Sheath *stack* with Weapons Repositioner. In other words, the distance between the shield and the weapons is the same as the distance between those weapons and the Player skeleton, so altering one parameter directly affects the other in the same manner. Moving your weapons too far back will cause the shield to look like it's floating behind you awkwardly. - In the Weapons Repositioner ini, I changed fValuePosZ=-2.0. This is the vertical height adjustment, and inputting a negative value moves the sword and shield combo up higher to negate some additional clipping. It also looks kinda cool, imo. I tried moving the set even higher but it started getting goofy at that point. - *IMPORTANT* In the Weapons Repositioner ini, I changed iBipedSlot=40 to iBipedSlot=46. The Artesian Cloaks mod moves all the cloaks from other mods from the standard slot 40 to the generally unused slot 46. I'm not 100% sure why. However, if you don't update this parameter, Weapons Repositioner won't know you've equipped a cloak and will not move your weapons back to the appropriate distance, resulting in a clipping disaster lol.
Should work for other cloak mods as long as "Cloaks of Skyrim SSE' is replaced with the alternate mod's equivalent in each spot in the load order above.
It seems in the WeaponsRepositionerSE.ini, fValuePosY and fValuePosZ is no longer there. Have you managed to get it to work after the update? If so, can you share how you did it?
Many player confuse between SE or AE version which one compatible version to download, since many of us bought SE. For clarification. ->SE with version 1.5.97 (Is pure Special Edition) ->SE with version after 1.5.97 (exp: 1.6.318+) is SE upgrade to AE which is using newest script runtime 2019.
SO, if you got SE and version is later than 1.5.97 You are indeed in AE version, forget about you having SE, you had AE with title on your steam still Special Edition. It only title, but you had AE in term of script, update etc.
If you ever encountered with mod need you to choose if you have SE or AE, just pick AE who with latest update later than 1.5.97.
No the mod is not dead, it's just that it will take some time to update it, but unfortunately I haven't had the time to do it yet, due to real life commitments.
I decided to understand how the Mod work and started to test it (I edited only Y-Axis because I just want to position Backpacks, Cloaks, Quivers and Shields one after other).
After many tries to get the point of positions, I uninstalled Backshields (because I thought it could be interfering) and I also realized that when I click to equip backpack and I already have a shield on my back, during a few frames I see the shield gets right behind the backpack as expected, but then it quickly goes to the same position of the backpack, make them clipping. I even printed the exact moment when I click to equip backpack and it gets in the right position with shield, just to get clipped right after.
At the moment, I am using the Example Preset that comes with the download file, but I still have no idea why it is not also working.
I am using this:
; Example preset, you can edit it or create a new one or delete it. ; The preset files must always start with the name "WeaponsRepositionerSE_" without quotes followed by a name of your choice, the extension must be ".ini". ; There is no limit of preset files that can be created and the preset files must be inside the "Data\skse\plugins" folder. ; The settings are the same as in the main settings file "WeaponsRepositionerSE.ini" [Main] sRace=Skyrim.esm|0x88840 sValuePosNaked=0,0,0|0,1,0 sValuePos=0,4.5,0 sValuePosBP=0,10,0 sValueWeightNaked=0,1,0 sValueWeightCloak=0,1,0 sValueWeightBackpack=0,1,0 [Nodes] sValuePos_WeaponDaggerBackHip=false sValuePosBP_WeaponDaggerBackHip=false sValuePos_WeaponDaggerLeftBackHip=false sValuePosBP_WeaponDaggerLeftBackHip=false sValuePos_ShieldBackDefault=0,-1,0 sValuePosBP_ShieldBackDefault=0,-1,0
these two mods: "Immersive Equipment Displays" and "IED Weapons Repositioner" are not compatible with this one, sorry I still haven't had time to make them compatible, in any case this mod "IED Weapons Repositioner" does the same job as mine.
greeting sir, backpack and weapon all work fine except shield, shield keep holding at hand, how to setting shield to back or side like the screen shoot picture you did?
This mod needs an update, since whenever I use it will throw me an error that the plugin is disabled because It cannot run with my version of the game. Even though the mod description says it should..
Two handed weapons are little bit offset on the back with cloaks.. It kinda annoys me.. I don't know if there's way I can adjust that myself, so any help would be appreciate it!

sir, how to adjust the staff weapon to the side of the backpack?
My Skyrim is on AE 1.6.640 which your AE version should be compatible with (and may be?).
However when I launch the game via SKSE, I get a pop-up
The game does seem to launch just fine though.
Does anyone else get the same and does the mod need updating?
