Please keep in mind that the mod will use whatever retextures you have in your setup. Results will vary based on that. For more details and names of specific textures, refer to the description. And feel free to post any screenshots of how the basins look in your game :)
I have added a patch for animated water from Water in Washbasins or if you prefer Water in Wells. Either of these mods will work (you can have both as well). If you feel like the water texture looks oddly green in some angles, please refer to the Animated Water Patch section of the description. You can use this awesome mod to fix it Watter Effects Birghtness and Reflection Fix, but the description provides some other workarounds and fixes too.
Interactive Wash Basins now has a compatibility patch thanks to simsim899's wonderful work. It works with any version of this mod as well as the animated water one :) It's an option in the Interacive Wash Basins fomod.
Hi, I'm willing to do that, but I would need a free-to-use texture of ratan to implement it. If you or anyone else know about a mod or a modder's resource that I could use for this, link it here and I will add the option to all the basins :) I will be on the lookout for one myself :) Or... maybe I could make it from this image? I will look into that. Never made a new texture before and I don't know how the permissions work for images from the internet tbh. I'm open to advice and any info anyone has on this :)
You know... reading descriptions might help. Or stickies. You would find out. There's literally a FAQ question for why the file is so big... Maybe before you waste mobile data (because why would you to dowload a mod of all things?) you could spend a bit of time reading and preventing that :D There's also the preview for the mod if all else fails for some unfathomable reason. Oh well, live and learn, huh? Hopefully next time you'll remember that :)
Thanks :) I will look into this the next time I'm messing around with mods :) Thank you for the suggestiona and the texture. Hopefully I'll be able to implement it properly :)
I certainly hope so :) I have contacted simsim899 and they are on board. They have agreed to look into this more since I'm at a loss on how to make a working patch with my limited modding skills. Simsim899 however has some time constraints currently and can't work on mods that actively, so we'll have to wait and see when they can look into this :)
Thanks for notifying, i installed the new version with the patch and it's looking great Pretty cool to have the water mesh to actually know it's a wash basin and interactive as well, and it works with dirt and blood
Glad to hear it :) I'm excited about the patch myself. Now everyone can use all three washbasin mods without having to chose <3 I couldn't test the clean effects since I use Bathing in Skyrim, so thank you for confirming that the effects work as well :)
2. Sometimes the water is static on specific basins. Again, no idea why it is happening. It seems to be happening with the vanilla basin mesh too though. It needs to be investigated by someone more experienced than me :D Again, any insight would be appreciated.
Have you tried using my latest file, the "Alternate" version, for the water? Someone in my mod reported having similar issues with static water until they tried that version.
I have tried all of your options as well as wSkeever's mod only, but it doesn't make a difference. It's strange. During testing, me and a friend of mine have found out that it depended on location (for example the basins in temple of Kynareth were animated but those in Mistveil keep vere static) IDs were the same and I have no idea what could be causing it. When I disabled my patch though, your mod had the same issue. I don't mean to say that it's an issue with your mod, I suspect something else with my setup (and my friend's setup) that is causing this, I just can't figure out what this could be :(
I think I found the issue! I forgot one step in my tutorial, which is to change a flag on the mesh to make animation possible! I forgot the exact details so I'll look into it later. IIRC, you have to click on the BSXFlags node, right click on the flags number, and click "Flags". Then you check the box for "is animated" or something like that.
I'll update you on it later when I'm home by editing this comment, and you can try to see if it fixes it on your end.
Yay! That worked! You are awesome <3 Now there's that pretty and naturally subtle movement O:) I will do the flag for all the meshes and update the mod as well as the description and possibly the sticky on your mod ;) Also I have found out that the green texture thing is there generally for basins that already have water added (like ones the temple of Kynareth - they weren't animated before, it was the other water layer that was, so sorry about the confusion there :D ) It looks like it's just a transparent texture clash in a way or something, but that's not important now. The point is that it all seems to work for vanilla basins just as it should, so thank you so much again <3 Update incoming soon ;)
ok i install this program what u say. and its true i can move now objects. Can i ask u a quastion ? im using dyndolod + xlodgen. It is save to move object with this jaxon mod ? will this break my game ? .. can i delete objects with jaxon mod without breaking my game? maybe u know ?
Jaxonz will not break your game. You can move objects safely with it as long as you're reasonable about it. Dyndolod only affects things on the outside, so if you decide to move a tree or a whole house or something, yes it might get strange with Dyndo (I haven't actually tried to do anything like that to be honest). But the worst thing that would happen is a little misalignment when you come near the object. Jaxonz only affects things on your current save file, so there's no permanent changes to your game. For moving interior items or locking them in place (such as the washbasins), it's safe and easy :) Deleting items works exactly the same as the 'markfordelete' console command - again, it affects your save and deletes the item from it, but not from the game as a whole. You will not break your game with it - the worst that can happen is that you will delete an item which you might need later :) I hope this overview is helpful :)
I don't know how to do that :D I just copy meshes and change texture paths. Sorry. Also, Where exactly does the hole go... in vanilla? It always bothered me a lot :D There's no plumbing involved. Wouldn't it be much more logical to have bowl with water which you will go empty out and replenish at times at a convenient location, rather than letting dirty water trickle down on the floor? :D
I wish I knew how to do variants because that would be amazing. For now, unfortunately, only one :( I might look into making distribution eventually, but it's a big 'might'. Especially since a lot of people don't use the same textures and some of the results may be iffy for them. I'll think about it. I hope you enjoy the mod regardless though :)
Ooooh these look pretty, a massive improvement on the vanilla wash bowls thank you, now got the difficult choice of choosing between 2, the stone and the transparent glass. :)
Tell me about it. After a lot of testing, I don't even have it installed in my game yet because I can't decide which one to pick :D Thank you for the comment. I'm glad you like them ;)
Exactly haha, I keep opening the fomod in MO2 and going through the pics and sighing as I can't choose and then closing the fomod down and decide I'll just think on it, it's between the white-gold stone (I love CleverCharff's mods I have most of them) and the glass - I just cannot pick.
I think the white-gold would be good for my Christmas profile in MO2 I am currently running my spooky profile so I might go with the glass for now... I think...
Sounds good :D I know this process all too well. But it's also easy enough to switch it up if you get tired of the design you picked ;) I hope you'll enjoy having this in your game, whichever you choose ;)

See the Compatibility section of the description for a link to a mod that can help with that ;)
I'm glad you like the mod :3
Will you add another option for the accents to be made of ratan?

I can't believe I just noticed this.
The greatest scandal in Nexus' download files.
You mean to tell me I registered a dollars worth of mobile data only for me to download 375MegaBytes of screenshots!?
There's not even one included texture in the download.
IT'S ALL PNGs!!!!!
\(T A T)/

Most of the fomods I see just use very compressed .jpg files to minimize download file size.
It's all good btw <3
Found a free texture for the ratan: https://www.freepik.com/free-photo/texture-background_1167545.htm?
Ropes are another good option for accent, and it has plenty of referable textures in SMIM.
Thank you for the suggestiona and the texture. Hopefully I'll be able to implement it properly :)

Please add a hole to your basins like Vanilla. It's currently just a bowl not basin.
