    A NOTE ON COMPATIBILITY:

I created this mod with the intention of simplifying my Skyrim experience. Other overhauls required too many prerequisites, while others simply weren't complete enough. Both had issues with blackface bug. I wanted to create something simple and easy to use.

This mod will look best with ONLY Diversity installed.  However, I have just downloaded "Touched By Dibella/Bodyslide" and re-installed this overtop those mods.  No neck seams for me.  Ultimately, the fewer conflicting mods you have, the less likely you'll run into problems.  Regardless, install this mod dead-last and you should be good to go if you really want other body/face mods along with this one.

Start a play through with ONLY Diversity installed, and whatever environmental/enb mods you want. Trust the changes I made, and let this be your one-stop shop for NPC enhancement or your money back.

    -Pat.

    Hi NEVERMOREPJM!
let me just tell you how much i enjoyed your sublime mod! i've been using Diversity for a long time till i grow a little bit experienced in dealing with any issue relative to it.
that's said, i have a suggestion if i may: i think you should put back the old version of Diversity ( may be in the Optional files section) as i find the old looks way better than the new ones. i'm definitely not douting the quality of the new ones, they are great but old is gold litterally :). or may be you 'll want to optimize the old files while keeping the old looks...well it's all up to you :)

in the end it's all a matter of taste, but i bet many share my opinion (at least one does: dragonlove). Anyway, i already have my backup of the old Diversity and i'm quite reticent to replace it :)

i already took a leap of faith and i will always trust your work, i wish you good luck and thank you for this gem :)

Here are the reasons I rebuilt Diversity.

      1) When I created the mod, I wanted a simple character overhaul that suited my tastes. At the time, I was new to modding with the creation kit. But I was was proud of my work and I decided to upload it.

      2) The few "haters" that pushed back against Apachii hairs had at least one valid complaint: Old "Diversity" required users to download 3 different plugins to work. And even I got bored in the character creation menu. Too many hair choices, most of them tacky and immersion-breaking.

      3) I made mistakes in the permissions section. Not intentionally mind you. I was a noob modder, eager to share my work with the nexus, and wound up redistributing assets I shouldn't have. It was just a mess.
I decided to take the mod down and rebuild it.

      ENTER THE NEW MOD.

I'm 4 years older and wiser. I look to enhance what Skyrim already is. This time, I wanted to focus on the stories each character had to tell.

      -Take, for instance, Olfina Gray-Mane.
Sure, she looked gorgeous in my old mod. But modern jewelry in her hair? A long ponytail? She's a Gray-Mane, not a supermodel. Bethesda told a story of two families squabbling in a time of war. They pretend they're different, yet they're cut from the same cloth. A mature woman who will suffer no fools, Olfina channels strength, grace, and tradition. So I chose a facial structure and hairstyle that told that story.

-Another example: look at Vinnius Corpulus and Sorex. They're supposed to be father and son, yet they look nothing alike. In fact, in the vanilla game they looked the same age. So now I made Vinnius look older to reflect his age, and I gave his son red hair like his father.

-I made similar changes to other characters like Adrianne Avenicci and her father Proventus.

This was my approach to building version 3.0. It wasn't just to streamline it and obtain full permission. It was also to ensure each character felt like themselves.

      So, IN SUMMARY:

      1) The old version is no longer on my computer. And as it is, it's broken without the assets it used.
      2) It had issues with permissions, so I can't in good conscience upload it again.
      3) The new version took a lot more work and thought, and better suits a more vanilla-inspired playthrough.

Therefore, I won't be uploading that mod. Sorry if this upsets some users. I get it. But them's the breaks.

      Enjoy!

While i do 100% understand your point, But this is why i kept a pure backup of said mod, Screenshot of instructions, Required mods, Ect, I never had a single issue with this mod until i just found out you remade it, And while it looks great, Comparing this version to your original, I def prefer the first version, And while i will continue to use it, I do wish you the best of luck and hope this version does as good or even better than the first!

WE INTERRUPT YOUR SCROLLING TO BRING YOU AN EXCITING NEW DEVELOPMENT!!

From the mind that brought you "Diversity" and "The Southerner Diaries" comes a new audiobook featuring my narration, as well as many of the songs featured in my nexus mods as a soundtrack.  Do you like witchy s***?  Harlequin romance?  Fantasy?
If so, you might enjoy "The Seven Cozy Shorts - Bedtime Stories for Grownups."
7 stories, with 8 hours of narration and music by yours truly.  Available on Audible.

The Seven Cozy Shorts - Bedtime Stories for Grownups

Seriously though, if you enjoy my work than do a friend a favor and support the official release.  This is my first paid professional gig as a musician and actor, and I could use some help spreading the word.

    Much love,
    -Pat

quite sad to notice it requires Cutting Room Floor , anyone knows any similar mod (good NPC replacer -> NOT high poly head) not requiring Cutting Room Floor and so working with skyrim version 1.5.9?

There are two different versions of the mod in the files section, one requires it, the other doesn't.

yes, but with vanilla hair ( i try to stay as low poly as possible especially for males) there seem to be only cut floor version. Anyway I added a fake cut floor esp and it (just) works ^^

I don't know if this has been mentioned before but if you are using the Skyrim Revamped enemy overhaul mod then there are some conflicts with this, but the problem is simple to fix with SSEdit but may take a while.

Thanks so much for making these Pat <333 it brings life to a lot of NPCs that didn't have a new face with this mod <33
I did have to remove over 50 facegens in xedit because it conflicts with other facegen mods I use, also I kinda had to move Diversity way above cbbe/better Males mod and my skin texture so it didn't remove/revert to this mod's textures it kinda removes what is used on my character also T_T other than that I am enjoying how a lot of npcs are looking with this mod

edit: oh I also forgot to mention it makes the face expressions (male) (female) versions to redundant alot of my other mods rely on them and need them active so I had to move diversity above those also.

PS: for M02 users, the Valindor's missing textures fix file, you can go ahead and merge it with the main file <3 it works just as fine since its just the missing textures file for him <33 no blackface or anything <33

The plugin (For the vanilla hairs version) is classified as dirty by Mod Organizer and LOOT, is it intentional or not?

In case anyone else is struggling with the dark face bug after troubleshooting, this fixed it entirely for me, at least in using the vanilla hair version: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/42441?tab=description

For what it's worth, it was definitely my own fault in the first place for having a modlist messier than Hermaeus Mora's face; this mod has been shockingly sturdy, considering.

Seriously though, thanks so much for this mod, it's fantastic! No disrespect at all meant to folks who prefer the more anime-esque/"pretty" look, but I'd been really hankering for an overhaul that'd keep the "rougher" vanilla aesthetic intact. It's immersive, it runs great, and blends perfectly with Skyrim's aesthetic in a way that almost makes me forget how the characters used to look! Which.. In some cases, that might be for the best.
