Hello! I was having issue with Apply Combat Hit Spell effects not being able to use any of the effects from Ordinator. I tried to use this download to fix but it didn't end up fixing the issue. I followed the advice on Auge1 post quoted and Psykrom advising the C++ edit on the file.
Quote: "Apply Spell Perk Entry Points: Multiple Spells" patch from Scrambled Bugs basically removes this limitation, which causes problems as this will pretty quickly cause several spells meant to be applied alone to apply in tandem with other spells causing certain effects to apply several times. It's probably worth noting that this patch is disabled by default, and has to be enabled manually in ScrambledBugs.json."
Fixed the issue. Thank you for your mod and thread, couldn't find a fix for this anywhere.
This patch appears to have an error that prevents players from taking the Two-Handed perk "Overthrow". According to xEdit, the patch changes the conditions for unlocking Overthrow from needing the prerequisite perk Subjugate to a perk called "Humiliate". This perk does not exist according to version 9.31.0 of Ordinator, unless my install is borked because I have overwrites. The mod page does say Humiliate exists, but I cannot find it in my game and thus this mod's patch prevents players from picking up Overthrow.
Hi forgive me for a newb question but i can safely disable Apply Spell Perk Entry Points: Multiple Spells in Scrambled Bugs and use this patch with Ordinator? i ve had a problem with LOOT telling me to run Ordinator with Bug Fixes even though i have installed the latest Bug Fixes for GOG AE? does it have something to do with this mod? sorry for white text....and ty for making a patch!
"For Example if you have the perks Bite Marks and Swaying Cobra and do a Sideways Power Attack This would apply the spell for Bite Marks, and also the spell for Swaying Cobra which contains the effects for Bite Marks (which is how Ordinator normally gets around the Apply Spell Limit), thus causing Bite Marks to be applied twice for one strike. "
Bite Marks has Effect A. Swaying Cobra has Effect B, but also Effect A by design because of the previously unfixed limitation. So with it fixed, Bite Marks and Swaying Cobra would both be activated for the end result of Effect A+(Effect B+A)?
Hey, can you provide any insight on what effects the SB patch itself has outside of compatibility with mods that require it? If not using a mod specifically requiring it, does it affect or improve gameplay for the better? Like, I don't know...is there a chance that the effects of a mod aren't being properly seen because a spell from another mod is applied? Or is that just not a thing lol.
That I'm asking likely means I shouldn't be messing with things, but I'm curious. I'm going to be using this for the other fixes, so thanks either way!
So if I don't manually edit the ScrambledBugs.json enabling the "Apply Spell Perk Entry Points: Multiple Spells", I don't need this patch, right? And Ordinator is still gonna be compatible with Scrambled Bugs, right?
These options in Scrambled Bugs are required in order to use Ordinator - Scrambled Bugs compatibility mod. That means: First enable it in ScrambledBug.json and then install this mod.
Edit: I've been misreading that post. So just ignore me :)
I could've sworn I'd already replied to this post, but I'm not seeing my reply anywhere.
dtrail is incorrect, you can use this patch without enabling the "Apply Spell Perk Entry Points: Multiple Spells" patch. Thanks to how Ordinator was built, I was able to make this patch in such a way that the fixes that only relate to the Apply Spell Multiple Spells patch change nothing functionally speaking if you leave the patch off, but the other fixes will still work.
Edit: It's probably worth mentioning that since Vokrii is structured differently from Ordinator, this doesn't apply to my Vokrii - Scrambled bugs patch.
lol, you're absolutely right :D I just noticed that I didn't read properly. I was reading you post like "So if I manually edit...." and missed that "don't" at the beginning. Sorry :)
The description says that this can be used without Scrambled Bugs' option enabled. If we wanted to do this, do we just delete the FormID's that are not:
You can leave them as is. This patch works by adding conditions that are (mostly) redundant without the Scrambled Bugs Apply Spell Multiple Spells fix option enabled, but with it enabled prevents the perks from stacking in unintended ways.
The other fixes are were an unintended consequence of those conditions, as I didn't even know about the problems before making this patch.

EDIT: Ignore. I had Ordinator - Maximum Combat Compatibility installed.
