Initially, everytime I would kill a stranger NPC to test this mod, I would always get the NPC's identity and Shor's bones, that got me puzzled because the Pickpocket aspect worked like a charm. Then I figured it out. I was using Quick Loot RE, which pops out the NPC's Inventory automatically and it gives the NPC's identity. After disabling it, there were no issues and the NPC stayed a stranger and dead lol.
Yeah I don't know of a way around that because even without Quick Loot an unknown person's name shows up in their inventory when you loot the body. I think that's from Skyrim code deep down we won't have access to. The same thing happens when a mod gives you the option of renaming something, like your horse in NFF. Even though you renamed it, if you open the console and click on the horse their ORIGINAL name is shown in the console not the new name.
I've been thinking about this more and I kind of like having a person be a stranger, but still being able to open their inventory and see who it is. For immersion I just pretend I found identifying papers or something in their inventory.
Thanks for the mod! :) I'm also using Oblivion Interaction Icons and they don't work together, so I've modified your plugin to be compatible and flagged it as ESL. If you want, I'll send it to you so you can upload it here.

I also heard it had some problem with summoned creatures, that summoned creatures have question mark instead of their name
I don't have this mod installed in my current playthrough so I can't check it
