    Introduction:

    As the distribution of equipment and abilities to NPCs via SPID has become quite popular, I felt that I should make the job easier for people who might want to create such mods for Rogues 'n Raiders. As of Version 4.2, RnR adds sets of keywords to all its NPCs. These keywords make it very easy to specify which groups of enemies should be targeted by a SPID file. This article provides a brief explanation for each of these keywords.


    The Main Keyword:

    Rogues ‘n Raiders – Bandits and Reavers

    Overview:

    Bandits and Reavers have been given a number of upgrades that make them tougher and more complex to deal with:


    Bandits now have perks that boost their attack and defense according to their levels in the weapon and armor skills. These perks are the NPC equivalents of the player’s Armsman, Barbarian, Overdraw, Agile Defender, Juggernaut and Shield Wall perks.
    Bandits can use special attacks that inflict injuries or other debilitating effects on opponents. Different bandit classes have access to different special attacks.
    Bandits use new combat styles, so they will make the most out of the equipment they have.

    Overview:

    Rogues 'n Raiders adds an optional penalty system which gives NPCs the ability to inflict debuffs on their opponents, making combat more challenging and interesting. The Penalty System encourages a smart playing style – simply tanking hits and spells will result in your character gaining multiple debilitating effects, which could make fights harder, longer and more dangerous than they need to be. The Penalty System also helps to diversify enemies, and increases synergy between different enemy types.

    Rogues 'n Raiders - Conjurers

    Overview:

    Conjuration magic has a number of applications - it is used to trap souls for enchantments, plays a part in necromantic rituals, and, most commonly, is used to summon creatures and items from the planes of Oblivion. While Conjuration is recognized as an official school of magic and studied at various magical institutions, summoning spells have been used by witch covens and rogue mages for centuries, often for less than noble purposes. The connection between Conjuration magic and the Daedric Princes also makes people wary of Conjurers, especially since the Oblivion Crisis which marked the end of the Third Era.
