means:
The vocation of mythical Orion as supreme hunter and also that
Orion is calling adventurers to join in the hunt. *
Significantly increases numbers and vitality of predator and prey animals in Skyrim.
Raises values of materials and armours, adds new forgeable weapons and armor, plus new hunter-related alchemy.
Any warrior/adventurer can enjoy these game-world enhancements.
Increased Animal Stock
Dragons, Mammoths, Trolls, Giants, Bears, Sabrecats, Elk, Deer and Wolves were added, including mad/rampaging versions of the larger creatures.
New deer and elk are much faster, more alert, and harder to bring down. There are also more Spiders, Chauri and Mudcrabs.
Hundreds of new creatures were added, most of them much hardier than their vanilla counterparts.
Available Equipment
A wilderness-based character needs crafting facilities.
All military camps, and most forts receive a full complement of blacksmithing equipment.
Crafting Materials
Pelts and armor made from them now have value.
Mammoth and troll pelts can be harvested and crafted into strong armours.
Improved Harvests
Sabrecats have 2 teeth, and 2 eyeballs, all yours to claim.
You can snag a tusk from every broken mammoth skull. *
Farms now have garlic plants. Salt deposits exist which can be harvested.
Weapons
From mammoth tusks, you can forge some formidable ivory weapons.
Also constructible are these bows: **
Hircine’s Triumph Thane of the Undead
ThalmorsBaneThe Dragonhalter
Armour
You can craft: Troll Hide, Mammoth, Hunter and Snow Hunter Armour.***
Wear 4 of the above pieces, in any combination and get a 25 point armour bonus.
Also constructible: Hunter's Backpacks which increase carry weight by 75.
Alchemy
You can brew potent, useful potions from new ingredients.
Thalmor will drop Unmitigated Gallstones.
Your BFF Nazeem now carries the rare commodity: Sheer Nerve.
Check the docs on making powerful potions from these ingredients.
Some mods that work well with this one:
Outposts of Malacath - places 15 well-equipped shelters across Skyrim and Solstheim.
Food For Thought - Expands stock available at inns and adds cookpot based alchemy
Warrior$Exchange - adds 3 great wilderness trading posts.
Glacial Goliaths - puts 13 special giant camps in Skyrim's frigid lands.
Invasion of the Thalmor - They're here; that means more bad guys to murd... I mean fight!
Compatibility
Orion's Calling, formerly Hunter's World was tested in Skyrim Legendary with Campfire and Frostfall.
Frostfall showed proper amounts of warmth and coverage on crafted armour, except for invisible helmets.
Realistic Needs and Diseases and Hunterborn were examined and no conflicts were evident.
One with Nature affects vanilla animals, so those added here are not your friends.
SkyTest modifies vanilla animals, but also addresses a few of the same records, so a patch would be helpful.
A Hunter’s Life and The Hunting Game compete in the area of material pricing.
The way LOOT sorts them, the other mods’ prices would be used.
This mod does what they do, and much more, so it’s a matter of choice.
Hunting in Skyrim offers different animal death items which will commonly override mine.
Notes and Credits
* It said that the constellation Orion may not be visible from Nirn. However, this mod is intended for use in the vicinity of planet Terra.
** Special thanks to woodtortoise who did the legwork to track down nearly every mammoth skull in Skyrim to make them harvestable.
*** Hircine’s Triumph and ThalmorBane are adapted from Howiego08’s Better Bows
**** History of hunter armours
These are modifications of assets from numerous sources.
Hunter's Backpacks are from sheepswhirl 's Woodframe Backpacks.
The boots and gauntlets are adapted from Bethesda meshes and textures.
The hoods were derived from Bethesda meshes and fatswordsman’s Thieves’ Guild retexture.
The cuirass has a long history, starting in the Witcher 2.
LordOfWar first ported it into skyrim and then Hucifer and Frankdema made sets using it.
TH3WICK3D1 and Omesean added some features for their versions.
The SnowHunter cuirass is adapted from Blizzard150’s Nex Nordic Hunter armour.
Many thanks to all these great authors for sharing their work. You are what modding is all about!
