    If you're seeing issues in your game, please first:

    • Make sure you are using the latest versions BPT and JK's Blue Palace
    • Make sure you are loading JK's Blue Palace AFTER BPT
    • Make sure if you have any other BPT-related patches that could possibly affect the main palace interior, load JK's Blue Palace and my patch AFTER those other patches.

    If after that, you're still seeing issues, please try to include the following information when asking for help:

    • A screenshot of the issue, try to frame it well so it's easy to tell where you are and where the issue is, use `tfc` console command to enter free camera mode for better position to take picture from.
    • Your full load order, shared using a pastebin.com paste as a link (or some other way of sharing text without cluttering up the comments).
    • (if applicable) Having the "More Informative Console" mod installed, identify a problematic object in the console and post a screenshot showing the "More Informative Console" information, specifically, please ensure RefID and which plugin it came from is visible. Be careful to make sure you clicked on the right thing. Sometimes it's easy to click on the player character or some invisible fog mesh in front of it by mistake. "More Informative Console" should show enough metadata to hint at you what you clicked on. If you want to be doubly sure, you can disable and  re-enable the object to make sure the right object is being selected
    • If you are a more advanced user savvy enough with xEdit, I would greatly appreciate it if you post xEdit screenshots identifying the problem as well.

    Anticipating some questions that might be asked:


    Q: How does this fit into Modular Blue Palace Terrace and Solitude Patches?
    A: Eventually it will be brought into that family of patches.

    Update 4/18/2021: BPT+LOTD scenario is now supported with BluePalaceTerrace-LOTD-JKsBluePalace-Patch.esp

    For other mods involved in that family of patches, the issues will mostly be from navmesh conflicts in the palace courtyard. The Solitude Skyway-related patches will also conflict on one of the door positions on the wings. If you load my other patches after anything related to JK's Blue Palace, you will likely get a state where everything works but JK's wing doors are broken for followers, which should still be fine if you don't bring followers through those doors. For Solitude Skyway, you can try disabling the conflicting JK's door in-game.

    Ideally we have proper combo-patches for all the combinations. Unfortunately I can't say when I will get to these patches since in recent times my life has gotten a lot busier, leaving a lot less time to do Skyrim modding stuff, and what little time I have need to be prioritized on my Windhelm mod.



    Q: Plans to patch JK's with Palaces and Castles Enhanced?
    A: Not from me.

    There are two approaches to patch JK's with PCE I can now think of.

    One approach is to try to mash up the content. I'm not a fan of this approach because both mods are full interior mods made with a holistic vision, so a mashup probably won't result in an improvement significant enough to worth the effort and maintenance cost.

    Another approach is to surgically remove PCE's solitude content. I suspect this won't be easy, as PCE's changes to the Blue Palace are fairly intrusive, involving NPC packages, quest content, dialogues, etc... In comparison, BPT's palace interior content is very light and clean and contained such that making this patch was within my ability. For PCE, I imagine a simple heuristic with a script will be nowhere near enough.

    Whether artistic (approach 1) or technical (approach 2), I simply can't justify anything that will require a lot of manual work currently, as my Windhelm mod will take priority.

    That said, I heard Janquel (the mighty master of patches) is taking a stab at approach 2, so I wish him all the luck in the world to succeed.

    For my family of patches, I'm expecting JK's to eventually be an alternative to PCE and vice versa. So I do plan to expand compatibility with LOTD, Enhanced Solitude, etc... with each additional patch likely going to forward a few door records or navmesh records (so actually fairly easy to do). This will happen within the next few weekends. In general, I think having JK's as an alternative to PCE in a Solitude modlist is nice because while some may prefer PCE's aesthetics, Jk's is not an AIO which means you have less conflicts in other cities.

    I have a clipping of a room in the basement and by testing in the game with the console and in the creation kit found out that your patch reduces the size of the visibility box in the basement I fixed it and the game test showed that everything works without clipping if you want I can give the fix to you for replacement

      for the sake of editing the blue room in the creation kit, it makes no sense to make a patch for a patch weighing 1 kb. I decided to change the patch BluePalaceTerrace-JKsBluePalace-Patch 0.0.1.1 itself. here is a Screenshot from the creation kit all rooms are closed by the room of the visibility zone

      PS. I will strongly agree if my fix is publicly available in the downloads of this mod Thank you!

      Hi dionisiy300, sorry for not noticing this comment before. I will take a look at this this at some point this weekend (so tomorrow or Sunday). In the meanwhile I will sticky this thread so folks can see. Thanks for the investigation!

      Update: version 0.0.2 uploaded. I was able to reproduce the issue in my game. Then I copied over the updated Y coordinates (on RoomMarker record 000eb5b1) from dionisiy300's fix posted above, and confirmed that the issue is no longer there.

    Using version 0.02, I still found some minor issues with certain areas not being rendered properly, so I dont think it's the same as the one mentioned before. Also I don't use Legend of the Dragonborn. This is what I found:
     - After coming in the main door, going up the stairs on the right and contiuing on in to the gallery updtairs, the screen briefly flickers in 1st person view.
     - The same happens when continuing on through the door provided by JK deeper into the same gallery.
     - When further following the gallery, then turning right to the end towards the door leading back outside, and turning round, you will see that the gallery is no longer rendered on any of the three floors. You can walk through the problem, and it is only visible from the stairwell.

    After some searching  I found what the problem was; one of the room bounds was incorrectly sized and stuck out into the aforementioned areas, thereby making us look at the outside of the bounding box and occluding everything behind it. If anyone cares to fix it:

    1. Open BluePalaceTerrace-JKsBluePalace-Patch.esp in SSSEdit.
    2. Expand the mod > Cell > Block 4 > Sub-Block 7 > 00016A04 (SolitudeBluePalace) > Persistent.
    3. Scroll down until you find a Roommarker object with the id xx00FBD2 (xx is the highest number you see, probably 09, so it will be near the bottom of the object list, and it is a red one between a number of yellow ones so easy to find ;)
    4. Click the record to get the data in the window on the right.
    5a. Change XPRM - Primitive > Bounds > Y to 1486.0.
    5b. Change DATA - Position/Rotation > Position > X to -104.0 and Y to 94.0.
    6. Save and close.

    I would have attached a patch if I could, but I don't think the Nexus lets me do it here, and anyway it's not really worth a patch esp I guess... I'll leave it up to the author of the BluePalaceTerrace-JKsBluePalace-Patch.esp whether they want to apply the fix as an update to the mod. If it is the same problem as metioned in the sticky, feel free to ignore this.

    Thank you so much for your work! I love both of these mods so much and I really don't want to play without them.

    I am having an issue, however. I am using LotD, blue palace terrace, Jk's skyrim, Enhanced Solitude (and docks), and I really want to use JK's Blue Palace. I notice there's patches for 3 or 4 out of 5 of those, but not all of them. It may be too much to ask, but would anyone be able to make a patch, or even direct me to some good instructions on how to make one myself?? Or maybe if anyone uses all of these and doesn't use any patch, could you tell me your load order? As of now, my blue palace looks strange. The walls around the entrance of the entrance to the courtyard are nonexisistent and I can fall through the Solitude arch, and when I enter the palace there's an issue. The area (mainly floors and walls) is gray and won't load until I enter, and then the area behind me disappears. I can see some distant objects that are located in the basement or other rooms as I'm standing in the entry way.

    Edit: I am also using Enhanced Landscapes and I know that affects the dock area, so I have a patch for enhanced solitude and enhanced solitude docks, but I am not sure if that affects the area where the blue palace is... just wanted to throw that out there!

    Please could someone help me with my load order here?
    I'm trying to get this to work together with BOTH JK's Blue Palace and Extravagant Interiors Solitude (Blue Palace Only version).
    I have the following mods / patches:

    BluePalaceTerrace.esp
    Extravagant Blue Palace.esp (from here)
    JK's Blue Palace.esp
    BluePalaceTerrace-JKsBluePalace-Patch.esp (this mod)
    JKs Blue Palace - USSEP Patch.esp (from JKs Interiors Patch Collection)
    JKs Blue Palace - Extravagant Blue Palace.esp (from JKs Interiors Patch Collection)

    I'm trying to get JK's layout with BPT's additions and the nice models and textures from Extravagant but I think I need a unifying patch to combine them together.

    Any suggestions most welcome.

    The lighting mod Lux has two patches, one for BPT and one for JK's. Are either compatible with your patch?

      The patched version has Blue Palace's main interior being JK's, but also retains all of the other BPT interiors like the basement and argonian burrow.

      I think your best bet is use only the JK's Lux patch. Don't use the BPT Lux patch. Load JK's Lux patch after my patch to ensure its changes apply on the patched state of things. This way you'll likely get lighting as Lux intended in the Blue Palace main interior which is the important part. I don't know if the BPT patch additionally affects lighting in the other BPT interiors, but if so then you won't get those.

      That's the theory anyway, feel free to try it out and see if it works.

      I tried it out and had a wild time. https://imgur.com/wj1DKXS I'm just going to use this patch without a Lux patch. Yeah, it makes the interiors creepily dark... but I think that's okay in a palace haunted by a mad ghost and a god.

    Will you be adding the fixes to a new patch for this and LOTD too? I have invisible walls downstairs too with that patch.
