TLDR: Only the icing is shiny now. It always bugged me that the cake part of the sweet roll was so shiny, so I figured out a fix by separating the icing and cake parts of the sweet roll and removing the specular shader from the cake part completely.
Made the sweet rolls a tad bit smaller.
Changed the normal map slightly - The textures should look a little more crisp (should. It's probably not very noticeable)
Updated the Eating Animations and Sounds Patch with the new model
These are some pretty minor visual changes, but I was inspired by the wine bottles in High Poly Project where the glass part is shiny and the wicker isn't. I learned from that and figured I'd update this mod with the edits I made. I also just decided to stick with the slightly more imperfect shape for the sweet rolls as the main file since I think they look better
Thank you very much for focusing on 2 smaller retextures this and the dumpling one. I like CACO but some of the textures are simply horrid looking. It's amazing just how many things in Skyrim can be retextured. I still use the retexture from SparrowPrince that turns the Sweet Rolls into beautiful glazed donuts. It was a part of his original mod called The Ruffled Feather - luckily I saved EVERY iteration of that mod and W.A.T.E.R since I ported all his mods to SSE for myself, but I think I'll be using these retextures for the sweet rolls.
I've endorsed both mods and left you Kudos. Thank you for making Skyrim a bit more nice looking!
For some reason the patch for Eating Animations and Sounds does not work for me. When it is enabled, when the eating animation plays for a sweet roll the sweet roll is invisible and it looks like you are eating an invisible sweet roll (lol).
When this patch is disabled the normal model that comes from the Eating Anim mod is shown.
If you haven't already, check that the patch isn't being overwritten by anything. I'm not sure what could've gone wrong. I know Eating Animations was updated, so I may check and see if that's the reason why.
Yeah, it's not being overwritten by anything, I imagine it may be something about the update as it definitely worked before I updated Eating Animations.
Yeah, the update changed some things in the nif files, so I fixed it and uploaded a new version of the patch for v1.7 of Eating Animations and Sounds. If you wanna know what I did in case your other mods are broken, I compared the nif files from the new version and my old version and noticed some property names were different. My solution was to just drag my sweetroll mesh from my old patch into the v1.7 sweetrollring.nif from Eating Animations in Outfit Studio and then delete the vanilla sweet roll mesh it comes with.
Hey there! I love this mod but I noticed it is not working with static sweetrolls currently. The textures are a little mixed up. Here's a plate of sweetrolls in the Dovah Den player home. https://imgur.com/1Ez77dB any plans for a possible fix in the future? TYSM!
Yeah, any mod that adds sweetrolls to separate static meshes will need a patch. Since there's too many mods that may do this, I probably won't patch them myself unless it's a big mod that adds them or something.
It isn't a difficult fix though. You can open the mesh you want to edit in Outfit Studio, delete the vanilla sweet rolls, and drag mine into that file.

I don't normally download simple mods like this, but I will just because! Thankyou.
