IN GAME - Name vanishing making the NPC impossible to interact with
Another is mod clearing the set name. My Home is Your Home is known for doing this but there are likely more. The latest version of LazyFollowers have an added measure to reapply names but if this is insufficient the only option is to disable whatever mod is clearing them.
IN GAME - NPC or player face or body turning blue/white/etc NPC - Make sure the preset used on the NPC isn't using blank or uses unavailable tints/tattoos/overlays. Player - Open RaceMenu and make sure settings for the above haven't been changed or activated. Note that issues like this is related to how RaceMenu applies presets and not this mod.
MENU - Presetlist not appearing, can't switch to another NPC etc One of the required mods is missing/not activated/corrupt. Most common cause is the ancient version of PapyrusUtils bundled in Campfire overwriting the later versions containing the needed functions for this mod to work.
Generally speaking, as long as you can set the NPC appearance, name and everything else applies properly at first NPC creation this mod works. The functions to keep your changes active after that are exactly the same as during creation. If problems arise after that it's likely another mod, conflict or other issue in your specific load order. If this happens *read* the comment AND *bug* section, they're there for a reason. Chances are good someone else already had the problem and solved it.
For new or returning users looking to update don't forget to check out PROJECT PROTEUS for your NPC customization needs! Short of possibly adding shout support whenever it's possible and some fixes LazyFollowers is done and feature complete as I envisioned it.
ive been having problem with the skee preset-save. i type it in with the followers name and it crashes for no reason. idk if is other mods or something
I was having the same problem, make sure you have papyrus EXTENDED not just papyrus and also MAKE SURE you click on your character/preset before entering the preset save console command
WOW ! Thank you. You made a mod that the mod community has been dreaming about since Skyrim was released in 2011. Seriously, I remember how I used to create new companions in creation kit. It was terribly long, especially if you wanted to add something from other mods. And now I can do it in the game.
Face always turn purplish blue despite me not using tattoos or overlays, tried using protheus edit on existing character and it worked fine. Can someone help thank you
so "You must go to RaceMenu mod's skee64.ini settings and enable ExternalHeads. Make bExternalHeads=1 in the [FaceGen] section" helps but the face skin is still not the right skintone, that might be because I removed a race mod mid playthrough, I heard it could so something like that. edit: I got it to work not sure how but making a new save and reloading finally worked with Make bExternalHeads=1 in the [FaceGen] section of the skee64.ini of the racemenu mod! nvm I think there was still a neck seem but almost not visible due to the interior lightning I was in
EDIT: So yeah seems on a new save file it works correctly, it wont work if you uninstalled an race mod on an existing save file I think, neck seems only appears because race order is messed up I guess, not sure.

Does anyone know why this is happening i've tried to look for face tint, used face discoloration fix, tried using Proteus with Lazy followers but when I fast travel it goes back to this. I am losing my mind trying to figure this out, I even tried making ube_darkelfrace face tint alpha to zero, tried on a new save too nothing works. If anyone can help me it will be greatly appreciated.
edit: The only work around i found was to match the body color to the head color, but everything will be blue. oh i didn't see the last update date. this mod is outdated and the author seem to not care i've created a follower using CK instead RIP lazy followers.
