    Update - Since version 1.3, casting Renounce doesn't affect the Thieves' Guild and Dark Brotherhood's quests. I also removed the bounty you got in Raven Rock for casting Renounce (the Dunmer worship the Tribunal but they aren't a fanatic theocracy!). I edited some scripts so be cautious if you update mid-game.

    I need some help with the Dragonborn DLC, since the Elder Scroll doesn't work.
    I tried the fix that is shown on the front page, but that didn't work either. I also tried all the other Elder Scrolls, but they don't work either. Neither Sun nor Blood nor Dragon Elder Scroll work at all.
    Is there a way to progress the quest via console commands?
    Edit: please ignore this ramble, I've must have made a mistake when using the fix on the front page. I've tried it again, and this time it worked.

    i only want to use this for the bal quest. i have seen stuff about alternate routes for quests but those are mandatory yes? i can still do the original paths for everything yea? i also saw someone saying something about the elder scroll being changed? dose this mod mess with the elder scrolls? or dose it not mess with them?

      You can absolutely still do the normal quest, just make sure you don't have several daedric quests pending when you renounce one, because casting Renounce will affect all of them. For instance, if you want to do Azura's quest normally, but you want to Renounce Molag Bal, finish the Azura's quest before you get involved in the House of Horrors. As for the Elder Scrolls, this mod makes no edits to them, it's just that one of them is required for one of the alternate paths. By the way if the only quest you want to edit is Molag Bal's one, you can also look into House of Horrors Quest Expansion: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/57285

      by logic, if you don't cast the spell at all, nothing happens and you can still use quest expansion, right? Although I'm curious what would happen if you cast it during the modded stages n stuff

      There are unfortunately conflicts that can occur, which causes the Vigilant to not do anything when he gets down to the Altar. A version that does everything except the Bal one might be nice so that it has compatibility with House of Horrors, but for right now, they don't seem to be.

    I always played it as having all Daedric princes stare at each other without claiming any soul and me character being to powerfull to be claimed anyway (1 of Clavius Vile answers got me this idea, when i ask for more power at level 1).

    Might give this mod a try though.

    I can't get it to work on "Discerning the Transmundane". I'm on 1.6.640.0.

      Does Herma Mora still calls you his Champion upon meeting him in Apocrypha during Gardener of Men ? Because in vanilla you can kill Septimus before he opens the box containing the Oghma thus failing the quest and Mora will still greet you his Champion when encountered in Apocrypha for the first time as if you had completed the quest normally, I'm trying to find a mod that corrects this oversight by Bethesda

      I do however remember that Storn from Skaal village is still spoken of as though he was dead. Kind of amusing when Frea is right next to him and she says something about his passing lol

    Also can't find the spell tomes, and when typing 'help renounce' nothing is discovered. I would truly love to be able to use this mod to put the Daedric Princes in their place, any idea why this may be occurring? 

    EDIT: So have resolved the issue, seems that for some reason the mod did not automatically have the ESM and ESP files activated, so activated them in the Vortex plugin section

    Downloaded it, but can't find any of the spell tomes. Also typed 'Help renounce', but I got no results. I installed it into an ongoing save, didn't work. Loaded up a new save, still nothing.

    Boethiah's one seems to work a bit weird: if you clear out the cultists and cast Renounce after Boethiah appears and speaks to you (which she only does because again, you wiped out her cultists), the spell doesn't work and it gives you a message about how you're forever a pawn to the Daedra and so on.

    I understand that it's probably related to quest stages, but i wish there was a way to work around it.
    It makes sense for "Paladin"-like characters to clear out a Daedric cult with murder-happy members i think, and it's not like you had a chance to willingly serve the Daedra yet anyway.

    Telling Herma where he can stuff his knowledge felt SO good! Frea and her dad sitting next to each other after the quest is wholesome and makes me glad for this mod. *salute*

    Do you know if this can work with Defy the Gardner. That quest doesn't work with anything that changes Gardner of Men. If I don't use in Solsthiem, does it change that quest?

      Thanks for getting back to me. Sorry I took so long to replay, I'm playing about 5 games right and I kinda lost track. I posed the question to Defy's mod author and he concurs, so I'll load both up my new game.
