I suggest using Skyrim Outfit System SE Revived. I haven't tried it but it does seem to support custom outfits for NPCs, location based armor swaps, etc.
I hope you enjoyed this one while it lasted! Will keep the mod page up if for some bizarre reason you prefer it over the alternatives.
Mod doesn't work. unsure why. inventory pops up. threw some armor in. nothing happens upon exit. favoriting over and over does nothing and spamming equipping does nothing. tried equipping it multiple times. doesn't work. even tried the "1 for 1 oldrim" version. doesn't work with the latest version of SE
Soo... I'm a little confused. I installed the OLD file, but when running the game I get a popup from SKSE, stating that "C98CosmeticOveride.dll: disabled, incompatible with current version of the game"? Is this normal? If not, how do I go about resolving this? Apologies if the solution is obvious and my ineptitude towards modding is an inconvenience.
Would love to see this kind of mod for Oblivion and FO4, neither of which have such as far as I can tell (FO3 maybe too but I'm a TTW fan so yeah less of a priority for me)
Hello! I'm on the AE 1.6.3.5.3 ver. and I followed the instructions. When using the item that I got from console it says a container is supposed to appear but it didn't. I'll keep an eye out for updates though it's a very neat idea! cheers
It seems the mod doesn't work when you change the left-hand key from M2 to the other one. Nothing happens when you click M2 or changed the key on cosmetic overdrive in the inventory to edit outfits.
Cool mod. What I noticed though is that closed and open-faced helmets will render at the same time on your character if you use both as real and cosmetic armour, due to them having different bodypart/first person flags.
