Mod seems outdated/incompatible with AE. It's not noticeable at first but after 8 hrs of play, it started to crash my save every other time I load the game. When attempting to fix it by removing the mod I got the "save file is corrupted" message like others have mentioned. I would suggest against using this on AE or maybe try it on a new save if you want to.

Edit: The ReSaver fix by brandiuntz below this thread seems to have recovered my save!!

Instantly corrupt your save when you try to remove it. Consider carefully before you use it.

Loved this mod, but have had issues with it causing insane delays in waiting and sleeping, plus the occasional crash. Have had to remove it for now.

If anyone needs to try and save your game after removing this, these steps should work. Always make a backup of your saves:

    Using Resaver to remove:

    • Make a hard save in an interior. Exit game.
    • Disable Super Fast Input Wait Menu.

    • Copy the save file somewhere else, to make sure you do not fool with original save.
    • Open Resaver and open the copied save file.
    • Filter for "input".
    • Clean - Remove unattached instances.
    • Clean - Remove undefined elements.
    • Highlight and expand the Plugins (full) folder, right-click on InputWaitMenu.esp, choose Delete plugin script instances. Choose Delete changeform
    • Save the file, rename it. I usually just increase the save number by one. Say, 410 becomes 411.
    • Copy this file back to the original save folder, if it wasn't there.
    • Start the game. May need to "Show All Saves" and select it. See if it loads.
    • If so, do a new hard save. You should be good to go!

    • If it doesn't work, just re-enable the mod and play on your previous good save.

Read the comments on the "Better Sleep Wait Menu" mod, there's a simple way to make it instant without mods... It is a comment by Zion6

I know its an old comment and you probably have learned enough now on how to work with heavy scripted mods in the future.
BUT FOR THE LOVE OF GOD: MAKE A NEW SAVE WITHOUT THE MON AND THEN CHECK IT OUT.

Hi - when i use this wait function i get random stuff dropped into my inventory - i dont want this, is this normal, can it be turned off?

I couldn't see anything in MCM to achieve that or any reference in the description as to why it happens?

    Bug???

I found that this mod MCM fails to initialize if the plugin is loaded after Easy Wheelmenu SSE Conversion (I didn't try the newer Easy Wheelmenu II SSE), with the Papyrus log giving:
Error: Unable to bind script AltWaitMenuMCM to AltWaitMenuMCM (080012C4) because their base types do not match

There's no apparent conflict in plugin records, so I suspect it has to do with Wheelmenu scripts, but I have no good explanation for now, it seems that just loading Input Wait Menu.esp BEFORE EasyWheel-AIO.esp is enough to solve the problem.

I really love this mod because waiting is so tedious.

However, I've hit this a couple of times now where after I wait the y axis (look up and down)  on my controller goes really slow - it barely moves.  The only way to get out of it is to reload a save.  The first time that it occured that resolved the issue entirely.  But today even after a reload when I wait the same thing happens.  No clue...

It's like it doesn't complete the wait.
