If you use Unofficial Skyrim Modder's Patch, it makes the same change, so you don't need this.

Thanks for the heads up.  You single handedly bundled a lot of mods I didn't realize were already bundled up.

the crime radius isn't as realistic as this mod.

Seems like SkyTEST settings also covers the same areas. Thanks.

If anyone wants to free an esp slot, this tweak is available in wrye bash and you can inject it easily in your bashed patch when rebuilding it, and also select the radius you want. Still thanks for the mod.

On the subject of ESP slots, Vortex users can also mark this plugin as Light by going to Plugins on the left, double click the plugin from the list and click Mark Light in the right column. Redeploy your mods from the Mods section and confirm the change. The mod will no longer be counted towards the plugin limit.

Where can you set it in Wrye? I don't see anything under INI tweaks.

Probably redundant and uneeded, but just in case:

It also works esp=>esl in the SSedit method/script.

For directions to convert all your esp=>esl (if you don't know, you should learn this god-given miracle)..

Thanks, it's insane how in the middle of wilderness the guards can see you stealth kill someone and teleport to attack you. I thought this wasn't Cyberpunk 2077?

Should I worry about Compatibility with Ordinator or another mod? even those who add new creatures?
    thank you.

I believe that there will be no problem. Ordinator perks might be unrelated with the crime report radious, I mean some perks change your stealth and all that but I've never heard of a perk that changes crime report radious.

I read some animals can report crimes, but idk. Probably the creature mod you are using will not do anything negative.

As far as I know this the one and only mod that change report radius, so it should be compatible with everything. Animals reporting crimes can be fixed with NARC Remade - No Animals Report Crimes for Skyrim SE?.
It fixes vanilla animals and also got integrated patches for some mods (for example Skyrim Immersive Creatures).
If animals / creatures from other mods report crime depends on how author of the modd flagged them. And I think it should be okay in most of the mods.

    Hi,

seems like an awesome mod- is there a similar one for oldrim or a backport of this one? Because my system doesn't like Special Edition very much and I just prefer Oldrim either way.

I just saw the "I Didn't See Nuthin'" mod for LE featured on the Nexus Mods facebook page and, upon checking it out, I found out that, apparently, animals in Skyrim can report crimes too. I didn't know and I don't even understand how that makes any sense.
Does that mod affect only humans, or does it affect the animals as well? It'd be nice if a SE mod could remove the animals crime report system like that one does. 'Cause I'm trying to go for immersion as much as I can and animals reporting crimes is quite the opposite of that. xD

Hullo! I just released a beta mod that attempts to fix the animal reporting issues for SSE.

"I Didn't See Nuthin'" also existed for a time for SSE (it's been removed now) but it did not carry over, and conflicted with, several USSEP changes. I'm trying it a different way where I'm only making sure that ONE of the factions a creature has has the "ignore crime" flags. We still have to confirm that it works, though... if EVERY faction a creature has has to have the flags turned on, then it won't. If we can confirm that it does, though, then we can fix this issue much less invasively than in previous attempts with a lot less conflicts.

Any chance you can give an example of what the vanilla distance is vs this mod? Like in Whiterun?

    Thank you!!

4000, so four times as far. I believe you can tweak this with Wrye Bash though... but SSE may be different.

The vanilla distance is 57 meters while the modded distance is 14 meters, if I converted the values right.

Sadly, my Skyrim SE crashes about every 5 to 10 minutes, which makes it almost impossible for me to setup a situation where I could compare the vanilla and modded situations, then grab a few screenshots or a small video clip. I hope the official patches from Bethesda will fix this.

In the meantime, if anybody wants to post their own images or videos, I'll gladly approve them. (I think you only need to approve images though... whatever.)

My SE has only crashed while trying to self port mods. So far I've had 2 crashes, both were character skeleton related.

I had forgotten that XP32 skeletons were needed for some of my armor.

So 2 crashes from old mods, none otherwise. You might need to check that mod list of yours.

Sadly, it has been crashing ever since I first started it up.
No mods, no INI edits, latest video drivers. It's been really awful simply getting to Whiterun.
My system is capable of running the game at about 60FP/S on Medium in all situations, so I don't understand these crashes at all.

      Just found this https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrim/comments/59sm2x/if_you_are_crashing_every_fifteen_minutes_or_so/?st=iv0dy1jp&sh=a2d6112c
it's about a usually unnecessary widows service related to tablet PCs. I doubt you are using a tablet for Skyrim. Might help Apparently I disabled this 'touchscreen keyboard' a long time ago, but it runs by default.

      That seems very interesting!
I'm using a Wacom tablet (not for Skyrim though, lol), so the service was enabled and running.
It's disabled now, I'm going to see if it worked.

EDIT: Fix works perfectly, no crashes on a 1 hour session and the tablet isn't affected like you said. Thanks a lot! I'll try and make either a screenshot comparison or a video demonstration to show the changes when I get some free time. (i.e. not now)

I don't think your drawing tablet accesses that windows service. I use a drawing tablet on my gaming PC, and it works fine without that service running.

I got the crash every ten minutes too. The service that has tablet in the name is really referring to tablet devices rather than drawing tablets. The service runs so you can have an onscreen keyboard appear. I use that onscreen keyboard all the time even though I'm not using a tablet. I just find it convenient to pop it up to mouse type the odd thing when I'm slouching back like a slob in my chair.

Anyway point is, you can't have the onscreen tablet service running and have Skyrim. What I do is have it set to manual so it only starts when I need it, not running all the time. And have a shortcut to services so I can kill it if I have used it. Before I run Skyrim. Easy to forget and lots of times I've had that crash just at ten minute mark then cursed because I forgot.

I'd love a patch but all the workarounds involve killing the service

      https://www.coretechnologies.com/blog/windows-services/essential-tools-for-windows-services-net-command/

Maybe you can make a .bat file with one command to stop the service and then run Skyrim? Then use that as your Start Skyrim shortcut.

Another .bat to restart it when you need? Just a thought. That way it's nearly transparent rather than having to go switching it off each time.

it's probably because you have another mod conflicting with this one. All this mod does is change 2 gameplay values.

Do this mod use any script? I fear for my save file.

Not a single script, just an .esp file. Your save file is safe.
