I've always been fascinated by the bard Oriella that you can hire in Heljarchen Hall with Hearthfire. The reason is because I had used that name years ago for a D&D character who wound up becoming a character in some of my old sword-and-sorcery short stories that I used to write. I even played a Priest in WoW based off her for awhile. So imagine my surprise to find a bard going by that name in Skyrim! But I was always disappointed by her looks - too drab for someone who shares a name with my favorite cleric of the light. So I decided to play around with her in the Creation Kit and give her a new look.

Oriella means golden, and so her hair has been changed from auburn to bright blonde. All changes made to her purely use the vanilla game assets. She has been set to essential, and has been placed in the correct factions to be a follower and marriageable. Her stats have been bumped up a bit to make her a little more useful in combat, and will dual wield a pair of enchanted elven daggers. I haven't given her armor, but the tavern wench outfit, which I felt fit her new look a bit better than the drab farmer's clothes she originally wore. Her AI packages have not been touched, so she will still function as a bard just as she originally did in the DLC, even stopping occasionally to play while you're out travelling.

I hope you enjoy this slight overhaul to an NPC that, at least in my playthrough, is a constant eyesore.

INSTALLATION:

If you don't use NMM, just download manually, extract the archive with whatever unzipping tool you use (7zip, WinRar, etc.) and copy the enclosed .esp into the Data folder in your main Skyrim SE directory (where SkyrimSE.exe is located), then make sure you activate the mod in your load order.
