FAC - ATF Patch It's just a little QOL patch. FAC Normally will work with AFT if loaded last but AFT looses the recruit feature on many if not most NPCs. If FAC is loaded before AFT it won't work. This patch just lets both work together. Now the name makes sense yeah =]
If your clever you can get FAC, FAC II and AFT all working together with rock solid following with 2 companions, each with their own offsets... Each joining and releasing on a single key toggle staggered (One immediate with the other delayed by a few secs) Works with Serana, Vilja ect..
Truly the ultimate follower experience. I almost have it ready!
Fact: Without FAC your follower just follows behind you... It just feels so dumb... Fact: FACII uses the older follower scripts and a non functioning MCM menu making it... Unusable.. Fact: FAC II when merged with FAC can have Both MCMs working, with 2 followers using the latest following script! TIP: A timed double tap on the follow key can have your follower switch sides! TIP: FAC + Disable Follower Collision is like Pie with Ice cream.. So good! Tip: Binding the same Key for FAC Follow off/on and PC Head Tracking and Voice Type SE greeting hot key can have you PC talk to your follower as you control them... So much fun!

UPDATE: Fixed the double dialog issue and moving to documentation. With IsharaMeradin giving a blessing we can all enjoy this work soon with all our followers and an extra =]
Followers as companions 2 does NOT at all in any sense work for me. This mod still does - no idea the issue but the followers wouldnt run by me they were like just lost running into rocks and stuff. I think this original mod was also used in Vilja the follower mod... which I recall this feature working beautifully in that mod so I mean I trust it here. I havent seen a issue and jsut dont use the dont push the player checkbox and no issues.
that said you have a wild edit and need to patch with the latest USSEP very urgently - its minor but important. Mod works beautifully however. Also yea you really should update the .esp to form 44.. its takes secondds to save in CK and is a bare minimum of porting.
I cannot speak for either port (this one or the other). Xambryn gave me editing access to this one of their own accord (I didn't ask for it). I have no idea what was done or not done when porting it over. I also have no idea if Xambryn will update this particular port. The link to the other mod is there only as an option for those who want to try using it with multiple followers.
Vilja did use the concept of the original LE mod. However, unlike the original and any ports, the ability to walk beside was fully integrated into that follower's AI. Thus Vilja always behaved the best when compared to any other follower.
Could totally have an animation trigger to get the player and npc to hold hands The player and npc each play and animation that puts the hand out so they roughly fit in place to appear like there holding hands Maybe done through dar with a condition is spouse or something like that and is removed in combat
Serana has her own following system until after the Dawnguard questline is complete. And even then she may still use the separate following system. The reason why is to allow her to sandbox and appear more as one who is travelling with rather than blindly following. If after completing Dawnguard she doesn't seem to use this at all, then it most likely does not work with her.
Known issue, but I didn't do this port. pmeagher apparently has something in the works that will probably take care of that anyway and hopefully make some improvements too.
after a four-year pause, I finally decided to ditch my flawless Oldrim setup and start setting up SSE this weekend. Still in the process right now but just so you know, Xambryn, there are those of us (to quote from below--"millions, even dozens") still waiting for this to be compatible with follower mods (NFF, specifically). I'm going to try it anyway, to watch the sideways and backwards bit.

As much as I would love to make a lot of people happy and try to go about making this compatible with other mods, I don't have the understanding I'd need to do that at the moment, I'm still very much a beginner. This port was kind of a happy accident that I decided to share.
With that said, if anybody wants to take a crack at it themselves, please feel free, with Ishara's permission of course. In the meantime I'll see if I can't learn a thing or two about companion mods.

Because precisely my follower is Serana but I have the impression that it does not work.
