The Great Cities SSE Edition - No snow under the Roof SE

Description
This is a collection (or better say it will grow into it) of compatibly patches for the “The Great Cities - Minor Cities and Towns SSE Edition” v2.01 mod series by soldierofwar and “No snow under the roof” v3.2 by Prometheus.

I plan to release a compatibly patch for each of the three Cities of Winterhold, Dawnstar and Morthal tackled by "The Great Cities" mod series to work with NSTUR nicely (at least I hope I can pull it off).

Starting with "The Great City Of Winterhold SSE Edition" v3.02 – NSUTR patch.

In time I hope to follow up with "The Great City Of Dawnstar SSE Edition" v2.11 and "The Great City Of Morthal SSE Edition" v1.1 compatibility patches, but it will take some time. I can’t name release dates yet, so they will be done when they are done.

About “The Great City of Winterhold SSE – NSUTR” patch:
  • I took me a while to pull it off as it’s not a simple compatibly patch because “soldierofwar” changed a lot of the vanilla layout of Winterhold City. I had to adapt the resources of NSUTR itself to make it work properly. As this is my personal take on it, I guess its result will not be for everyone’s taste.

How to use / install:
The loose version is split into three parts (Miscellaneous files):
  • A core patch, where only the colliding object from NSTUR are removed for the city layouts
  • Standard add-ons for Pillars, Arches and Statues
  • Experimental snow piles on some walls

To see the differences just load only one or none of the add-on plugins.
Use this version only for testing purpose. 
I will put the NSTUR assets on the new layout of the three cities where ever I see them fit.
But if you have any suggestions please write your ideas in the comments section, thank you.
This is still work in progress until all three cities are covered.

All in one Version (Main File):
  • This contains the records of all three loose .esp's in one plugin.
    This Vision should be used if you just want to play the game.

All .ESP's are ESLifed, so they don't count to the vanilla 255 plugin limit.

USE ONLY ONE VERSION OF THIS PATCH AT THE SAME TIME, DONT MIX THEM!

Additional Requirements:
  • All my NSUTR compatibility patches are designed to work out of the box with my NSUTR Bugfix mod.
  • All my mods should be compatible with USSEP.
  • I highly recommend using both mods for the best game experience.

Compatibly:
  • For now the The Great Cities EPS(s) them self’s (AiO or single visions) are not listed as required masters in the compatibility patch(s) itself, but are obviously needed to work properly. These guaranties (at least in theory) that the NSUTR patches (for now) will work on the "City by City" single releases as well on the "Minor Cities and Towns SSE Edition" all in one release of soldierofwar’s "The Great Cities" mod series.

  • This compatibly patch(s) are not compatible with the Vanilla game or any other Mod beside “The Great
    Cities” that change the layout of Winterhold City (as well as Dwanstar and Morthal in future updates).

Uninstall:
  • You can uninstall any version at any time as it only removes and adds static objects.
  • But I would advise against it, as it’s never a good idea to remove plugins for your active mod list mid playthrough!
  • So make sure you always have a backup of a save game when the plugin(s) were not active if you want to uninstall this patch(s).

Bugs:
  • There are lots of small inconsistencies (use of statics, textures, snow mat. shaders) as well as little gaps and visibility issues within “The Great City Of Winterhold SSE Edition v3.02” by “soldierofwar” itself. This patch will not address any of these problems, as that is not the aim of this NSUTR compatibly patch. Please address them to the respective Cities Mod pages of the creator (soldierofwar) directly, thank you.

  • If soldierofwar should fix those problems with an update of his mod(s), my compatibility patche(s) and / or add-ons will likely have to be updated to work properly again. As I do not actively use his mods in my playthroughs, please leave a note on the board if you find problems when using my compatibly patches after an update of Winterhold, Dawnstar or Morthal within “The Great City’s SSE” series, thanks.

  • Please report any bugs that you may encounter while using this patch(s) only here on this Forum page and not anywhere else, thank you again. Neither soldierofwar nor Prometheus where or are involved in the creation of this patches.

Can you add this patch in the middle of a play through?
  • I guess yes, as I only remove or add static objects, but please be careful anyways.

WARNING:
  • As always be warned, I'm not very experienced at creating mods and still learning a lot with every mod I make. I cannot take any responsibility for crashes, real or fake corrupt save files and so on. So please be careful and make backups of your save game (best on a regular base, thats always good idea when using any mods) before your use any of my mods.

What tools did i use?
  • I used only SSEEdit v4.0.2 to create and clean (QAC) my compatibly patches.
  • I used Merge Plugins v2.3.1.0 to create the "All in One" versions of them.

Any plans for a Skyrim LE port?
  • I do not plan to port this compatibility patches to Skyrim LE anytime soon (or maybe at all).  
  • I also do not allow anyone else to use my patch to port it to Skyrim LE. The reason is that I use assets from NSTUR and I can't grand anyone else permission to use them as I did not create them. This assets where created by Prometheus.
  • If you want to make your own compatibly patches you have to ask soldireofwar and Prometheus for their permission yourself.

Translations:
  • I do allow anyone else to make translations of my “The Great Cities SSE Edition - No snow under the Roof SE” compatibility patches, but you are not allowed to publish them anywhere else other than on nexusmods.com.
