Same I have been wanting to test out in Skyrim VR with the TactGloves but it is not on the list of available accessories yet. You can walk with NaLo, use gestures for casting, do hand tracking with Quest 2 and now Virtual Desktop supports hand tracking so all we need now is the Haptics (and having fun with menus and gestures haha) This would be really cool to impliment!
I am curious if there is an easy way to use the Haptic Arms presets for the gloves and can be modified slightly, as most of the effects happening to the arms would be the same for the gloves, with controller haptics happening on top of it. I built my own from the github and have all the bHaptics accessories, just trying to figure out how to get Skyrim to recognize without going the easy route and putting arm firmware on the hands lol I'm sure programming all this is much more complicated, but I'd love to see if I can at least get them working with the entire mod. Is there a dll or something I can add to simply enable the Gloves for at least a starting point?
If I had the TactGloves, I would add support for them, but I don't. Still, it may be possible for me to add haptics support for gloves blindly to this mod and have someone else test it, but note that it may take a lot of test cycles and it would require someone willing to work with me for it.
Does the new VRIK update make this mod obsolete or will I still need this mod active for the haptics to work? I saw the VRIK update conflicted with this so I thought I'd ask. Thank you for all your incredible work!
Hi, thank you very much for your bhaptics mod for Skyrim. I am enjoying it very much with the TactsuitX40 vest and Tactosy for Arms. Would it please be possible to add (in addition to the already working Dragon Soul Trap) a haptic effect for the "Soul Trap"? -https://elderscrolls.fandom.com/wiki/Soul_Trap_(Skyrim)
This is when, for example, I use a weapon that has the "soul trap" enhancement and use it to capture souls from killed monsters and NPCs and place them in soul gems. At that point, the effect of transferring the souls from the killed enemies to you will take place /something similar to Dragon soul, but on a smaller scale/.
I guess so...but the effect is similar to Dragon souls, i.e. the soul seems to be absorbed into your body. And would there be more possibilities of this effect with the vibrations on the vest, the hands? "how to enjoy it" :-), since you have the weapon on you at all times and just the effect of it also recharges back through full soul gems.
Hello! First of all i want to thank you for this mod, secon i have a question; is it possible to have the rain effect to not play when the player is under a certain object ? could be for exaple a rock , a ruin or bridge etc...
mhh i'm using a mod called "Rain Extinguishes Fires" and from what i understand it uses rain occlusion to determine if a fire is covered or not so, if the player could become like a fire and play the effect? hahaha i'm climbing mirrors... Thanks anyway.
Is this something that needs to be installed in addition to behaptics player? Edit: found the guide https://bhaptics.notion.site/The-Elder-Scrolls-V-Skyrim-VR-19d3284bebd84b2286c623e99bc6d6c4
I know you said it doesn't matter which version of the vest is used, but do you know if that's also true for the TactVisor (presumably new version of Tactal face pad)? It gets confusing when companies rebrand products with new names & act like the old versions never existed, even when the new one isn't quite released yet
I have the new TactVisor and it doesn't seem to work. I don't get the initial feedback when the game starts from it like I do from the vest. And I never felt anything from it in the fights I've been in.
Head tactal doesn't have any initial feedback. If you want a sure way to test it, equip/unequip a helmet. That way you would know if the mod is connecting to the helmet. That's a good way to test. Other than that, rain effects on head should be felt. This mod has locational hit checks, so unless you get hit on your head, you won't feel anything on it. So, you can turn on god mode and wait until you get an arrow on the head. Or you can test it by getting attacked by a giant for example.
I'm sorry this took so long to report back, I haven't had much chance to play since. Today, I was able to confirm that the new TactVisor works with putting on a hat. I've also now been hit in the face and it reacts.
No there isn't. If it's a rain type weather, it should work. You can adjust the rain haptics intensity from this mod's config file. It's a subtle effect, so maybe your haptic vest is not recognizing low values for some reason.
I just got the tactsuit x40 vest and it just vibrates constantly when I'm in game, I eventually become numb and just turn it off. Is there anyway to only make the suit activate when getting hit or using weapons or magic?
I have Valve Index for steam and the BHaptics says I need a surround sound driver to get the 360 experience, I'm using Nvidia 3070ti with display port and the Nvidia HD sound driver... how do I get this game to play surround sound if that's the issue.
Also where do I put the .pex and other Haptic files when using the Wabbajack Minimalistic overhaul. Do I just put them in the steamapps/common/SkyrimVR folder like the BHaptics video says?
Sorry, I'm new to modding and was hoping to get more out of this vest. It just feels like a dissapointment right now.
Make sure you don't have audio-to-haptics enabled in bhaptics player. It shouldn't vibrate constantly. You definitely have something wrong. What you describe sounds like you have audio-to-haptics enabled instead of this mod.
Wabbajack is an MO2 installation. Download the files and install them with MO2 just like any other mod. Files are designed to go to "steamapps/common/SkyrimVR/Data" folder like any other mod. But use the mod manager to install.

If can actually use the touch of your hands in the game, it will definitely feel more real.
