yes. all rights to said patch are waived and anyone can use it, distribute it, sell it, modify it, incorporate it, blah blah blah for any reason with no need for credit or contact.
That's the spirit! Thank you! I'll "sticky" post this so everyone can see it.
Side note to anyone that reads this: Just because jdsmith2816 was kind enough to share this mod/patch for everyone to use as they want doesn't mean it should be sold tho, that would be a wrong thing to do and If you're a mod merchant just change carreer dude.
It does. just a few minor things though, like floating crates here and there. The only major thing is the floating carriage in front of the alchemy shop , blocking it. You can disable the carriage in console menu though.
Here is a collection of patches for quaint raven rock. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/35290 The author said he is considering a patch for better docks down the line.
Patch is up: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/35290
Quick rundown of all the changes: • A couple barrels and such that were clipping in some rubble all slightly moved • Raised/adjusted the campfire within the two boats stuck vertically in the ground such that they match the adjusted landscape. • Shifted the open chest and its contents to match new landscape • A couple CRs on some boxes that were changed to have ash and/or moved by one or the other • Disabled a couple things and rotated the boat which is getting worked on so the construction site isn't floating/sticking out the side of a building. This was originally inside a destroyed building in Better Docks, so there's no navmesh underneath of it - to better facilitate compatibility with other things, I didn't touch the navmesh, so followers won't run through here, just fyi. • The aforementioned broken carriage is now broken down in the ash pile next to the house :P
Let me know over on the patch page if you run into any problems :)
I put out a new standlone compatibility version of this mod that adds compatibility for a bunch of things in Windhelm, with permission of zebra0.
Make sure to check it out. With this you won't need multiple patches that bloat your load order and sometimes fail to work together, this overhauls the base mod by removing some objects that conflict with multiple different mods, without really harming the aesthetic of the mod.
This also uses the same DLC-compatible esp provided by this version, so all patches should still work that are designed for this mod, if necessary (they shouldn't be though)
Hi! Your mod looks cool! I am a modern day vortex mod manager user. Which file should I download? The first file? The NMM file? And what exactly are the archived files and why should one use them?
Quick question. Does it conflict with The Great City of Solitude? I'm asking because it says it's compatible with TGC but TGCoS is a separate mod, not included in TGC, so I just want to know if it's compatible. If not, then uhhh... I don't know, somebody make a patch I guess.
@jksmith2816 I wanted to use Simple Raven Rock, but the patch doesn't point to Better Docks AIO. The patch lists BetterDocks-MP-DLC-Compatible.esp as a master, but the actual Better Docks master is BetterDocks-Solstheim.esp. I'm going to see if I can add the correct master in xEdit, but if you or someone else updates the patch it would be much appreciated.
If you mean the mod enhanced solitude, it's not compatible because of the stairs leading to the docks but it could still work together because it seems the new stairs added by that mod cover the details i added there.
thanks for the answer, I tested them together and there is a lot of cliping but i'm not sure if it is only because of this mod so further testing must be done
Sorry found the mod now i don't know why i couldn't find it before... i had forgotten about this mod, the mod author is a nice person. It will not be compatible unfortunately because it's like having the same mod twice plus the tweaks and changes from riften docks overhaul. Only solution is to go to old skyrim nexus get the seperated plugins file from better docks and transfer it to the new skyrim version, i can't do it because i don't mod or play skyrim anymore but that's the only option or you can go to the creation kit and delete the riften part it's also possible to do that with a modding program that deletes the references of the mod tho i can't remember the name of that program but it should be here on the nexus mods.
