Is there a way to use this, while retaining the ability to zoom the camera with the scroll wheel, and rebinding the speed keys? Is there a script file that can be deleted, or the controls file altered? Conversely, could the camera zoom keys be rebound easily?
Edit: Well maybe I should just download and try it out XD and would you look at that, It can do exactly what I want, as long as you don't select the controlmap file in the FOMOD. Seems to work fine, haven't tested it too much. The reports of CTD's in the posts are a little worrying... but we'll see what happens.
i really like this mod, but im removing it from my list. i can see the protentional of it, but since i removed it my gameplay is this much better. The camera wouldnt let me zoom in or out of character and the amount speed would remain the same and it would only change after trail and error. i really hope you'll update and improve this.
Edit: Oops. Just checked Underdog animation requirements. This mod will disable controllers and zoom in/zoom out functionality (or it did for me for some reason) Managed to fix the issues by removing this mod.
having an issue, when I roll the mouse wheel its both zooming/unzooming the camera and changing the walk/run speed at the same time. Only workaround I could do was to map the speed up and down to different keys but that makes changing the walk/run speed more of a headache rather than just rolling the wheel. I use no other camera mods or anything, fresh install of the game with only a few mods, textures, weather, body, skin etc just basic stuff. I use this mod on LE and it works like a charm but here on SE it seems broken
EDIT: My bad apparantly I wasn't paying attention during install, there is an option to reconfig and set zoom keys to something else. I was used to the LE version that just shift/mouse wheel to zoom and no shift just mouse wheel to change speed. That system was awesome if it could work like that in SE that would be sweet.
The way you described the LE version is how the SSE version worked when I first downloaded it. I used it for a whole playthrough without an issue. I started a new game after not touching Skyrim for months and now I am having the same issue. I choose the option to change the keys, but still doesnt work for me.
But while working pretty well for a while, i suddenly faces the problem that the character often returns to normal speed plus that i have to scroll very much until the movement speed reacts to the scrolling.
And the sidewalk keys (a, d) triggers that return to normal speed (and sometimes randomly i think)
Very nice! I'm so glad that i found this, this way i can finally adjust my speed on foot and horse without using a controller! Super immersive, i only wish i could find this earlier, very nice +1 endorsement given!
I will not update this version nor updating nor adding feature until new version will be ready. So don't worry if don't publish any update until it is ready, It not means the mod is abandoned ;) I began a complete rewrite of the way i handle speed to make it compatible with every mods.
Don't be worry, You will be able to upgrade to the new version from this one !
Have fun with it :)
Why i do this ? Because I project to create some gameplay mods and I want that all my mods will be compatible together (especially this one, i can't play without it anymore ^^).
Are you still working on the new version of this mod? I'm personally hoping for a bugfix regarding the CTD with "BSWin32KeyboardDevice::Process_C1A130+F2" in the Netscript crashlog.
