If you're interested in my plans, ideas, or updates on my projects I will be posting on my Patreon page for now on. I just wanted a centralized platform to talk to people who were interested in what I am doing. All posts will become visible to non-Patrons after 3 days.
more than likely no, i saw a different bruma patch that is 2 years more recently updated than this one and in their comments people were saying it doe snot work
What prevents me from using mods like this is that I have no clue what all the acronyms are, so I don't know if the mod or any of its options apply to me. People need to type out the entire name of the mods that their mod affects, and not just "SBDNRO, PDEN, SLO, BEP, SOAP, DERP, WAAAFCTACAAWSUD, WTFBBQROFL"
From the main page: "I've got patches for LOTD, SRCEO, KYE, Audio OS, Ars Metallica, Bruma, MLU, Sacrosanct, SkyTEST, Vigor, and WACCF"
If you don't know what these are by reading this then you don't have these mods. In which case you don't need the patches.
If you have these mods and don't recognize their acronyms (you can clearly see I spelled out the ones that didn't have recognizable ones), then that's on you.
No, I don't have the names of my entire load order memorized, thanks. Please at least type out their full names once somewhere. It's not like it's a huge ask.
Sorry, but I can't memorize the acronyms for every mod in the Nexus, besides, at my age I'd forget them in a few minutes. I have mods in my load order that took me a long time to realize that they were the same mods that people were talking about using Acronyms, because I don't "see" acronyms when it comes to mod titles.
That's why I always read description pages, especially for PATCH mods, to find out if they're pointing me to some great mods that I don't know about and would like to use, or if they're for a mod I'm already using. So, I actually have no idea if I'm using LOTD, SRCEO, KYE, WACCF or not, because like I said I don't "see" acronyms in the titles of mods.
UPDATE Well someone else in the thread didn't know what the patches were for, so stuff44 provided the info
I use know your enemy but never used kye acronym, but because the acronyms in Skyrim mods are ridiculous here is a nifty list of at least some of them (many acronyms you use ar not listed, because it wasn't updated for years, but it still helps). Sorry, I know that you are making these patches for yourself, but I think that using acronyms in the comments is fine, but in the description should be used the full name. Even better would be if the patched mods were in required files, that way this patch would be visible on all respective mods. I've just installed Bruma for the first time, and found out there is a CACO and other patches for it just by happy accident. Never the less thank you for all your continued patch effort.
I agree about the acronyms. My mod list is stuffed to the max and sometimes I don't recognize something from a few letters. This "If you don't recognize it, you don't need it" thing comes across as derogatory.
Same here. I know most mods by acronym - but not each and every. Should be no big deal to "translate" them at the top of the description page. Besides this, I absolutely apprechiate EverWatch's effort to do all this work with his OMEGA project!
Same here, I don't understand them at all though. CACO wasn't easy to know until someone told me it was Complete Alchemy and Cooking Overhaul, but even then I tend to forget what they mean all the time... mashed letters can mean anything lately and I'd still have no clue what it's about.
This amazing tool named GOOGLE SEARCH will make your life much easier. For instance (just now to verify) I typed in only "SSE CACO" and Wallah! In less than 1 second: Complete Alchemy and Cooking Overhaul for Skyrim Special Edition on Nexus mods. Some modding stuff is hard to get at first but if your stuck at this point then xEdit, Bash Patch, MO2, NMM, DynDOLOD, TexGen, Billboards etc are going to really F#$% with you.

I've been modding since 2003 starting with Morrowind. I'm well versed in Xedit, and have helped plenty of people with scripts and the general usage of Xedit, and have even made several mods using Xedit, for Fallout 4 etc...but I've also done textures as well. Bashed Patches are no problem, and I use them regularly for my 341 mod Skyrim load order. I'm also well versed with Vortex, and help out in the Vortex support forums, I've used MO2, but I prefer Vortex, it's much faster and intuitive to work with. I'm sorry though, that I can't remember things like I used to back in my 30s and 40s, but at my age today, I've already got waaaaay too many acronyms memorized thanks to med school. But Thanks for the extremely snarky and rude post, however, I should point out, while you're putting people down about not being able to remember hundreds of acronyms, you really shouldn't be throwing stones in your glass house, and you should take your own advice and use Google search for the correct spelling of "Wallah" because you'll find it's "Voila", also, I'd suggest googling what form of "Your" and "You're" to use. Have a nice day.
many many times i have chosen options in a FOMOD installer for not having a mod because it was only displayed as an acronym and i did not know what it was, only to stumble upon the full title later and realize it is a mod i really want.
then begin the process of trying to figure out what mod i need to reinstall to select the proper FOMOD option
very tedious and could save a lot of time if modders type out the full name the first time it is typed, then use acronym from then on after
in load order, whether it's safe to use or you need patches? Anyone uses those together? From what I've seen, there's only a patch for SkyTEST. Do others not need one, or are they just not made (yet)?
Don't know if it's still relevant to you but I was wondering this myself so I'll answer for anyone else who ends up here - the answer is maybe. For me, I use LotD, Sacrosanct, and WACCF. All of those have more recent CACO patches elsewhere, so I don't think this is for me. If you use some of the other mods mentioned in the description though, these might still be the only CACO patches available for them.
Which one is for 3D trees if there is a patch for that here? I can't understand short sayings in text very well, and it is quite frustrating problem I have EDIT: nevermind! I found the mod here for 3D trees: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/36647?tab=posts

Maybe you could copy and paste in a sticky for those of us who don't know what the acronyms mean?
