August 31 2018: Version 1.02
Balmz down below mentioned the Skyforge Steel Dagger didn't have a tempering recipe, which I honestly didn't know. I've fixed that oversight. I also discovered a conflict with one of my favorite mods: Special Edition Followers. Both mods edit Aela the Huntress, and that conflict had the potential to completely break her if you tried to use her as a follower. I created a compatibility patch, and figured I might as well include it in the package here on Nexus. If you use both my mod and Special Edition Followers, definitely install the compatibility patch along with my mod, and make sure it comes after both mods in your load order.
I also used SSEEdit to clean up a couple of messy records in the esp file.

Update on August 16 2019: I've confirmed the existence of a pretty large bug (hat tip to ahaisonline, who told me about it). My mod works just fine as long as your character is male. For female characters, however, the part where you receive a free weapon from Eorlund Gray-mane is broken. I'm working on fixing this now, and will be releasing a new version once the fix is done.

August 17 2019: Version 1.10
The bug mentioned above, and revealed to me by ahaisonline, has been repaired. Eorlund Gray-mane now gives you your free weapon regardless of your in-game gender. In order to fix this, I had to add the Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch as a master file, so USSEP is now required for this mod. Chances are you have it installed already, but if you're one of those incredibly rare people who doesn't, you need to install it to use the latest version of Complete Skyforge Weapon Set. This should be needless to say, but just in case: make sure my mod comes *AFTER* the unofficial patch in your load order.

August 18 2019: Version 1.11
I noticed rather suddenly a bit of a problem with the Glass-power and Ebony-power versions of this mod. The four new Skyforge Steel weapons had their attack power increased, but the original five had not. I fixed that. I also decided to increase Eorlund Gray-mane's stock of Skyforge Steel Arrows that you could purchase from him. He used to have a measly 6; now he has 24.
ADDING: And I forgot to update the FOMOD installer with the new version number. I don't know how important that is, but it's now been fixed.
i downloaded the file and dropped it into vortex, then i added the rule that ussep be loaded before it but when i got to eorlund he just worked as vanilla as ever. im tempted to say this mod is no longer functional.
I just cant trust it myself. USSEP has changed a LOT over the years and I look in xEdit and find some patches patching it very very badly and messing its edits up even worse. It would be wise to check it in Xedit and see what it's doing to make sure if anyone wants to use this nowadays for Skyrim AE 1.6x
Heyya!! Love your mod! It's exactly what I was looking for. So I wanted to say THANKS!
I do have a question though, do you know if the weapon you have added will be affected by any loot leveling / rarity mods? such as MorrowLoot Ultimate or SkyRem - Lora.
hey there. i've been using this mod for a while, and i've noticed a pretty significant bug. when i ask eorlund for a mace or a warhammer, he says the line, but he doesn't actually give me the weapon. if i want one, i have to buy it from him. he gives me bows and arrows just fine, though. also, i've noticed that he's been saying "Yes, lad" instead of "Yes, lass" to my female characters. not sure if that has anything to do with your mod, but i don't think it happened before i installed it, and i figured that if any of my mods affected eorlund's dialogue, it'd be this one. thanks in advance.
Sorry for the long silence. That does sound pretty odd. Unfortunately, I've been incredibly pressed for time lately and haven't had the energy to keep pursuing this. I'll do my best to look into this.
I seized some time to work on this and managed to find and fix the issue. The newly updated mod needs the Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch to work properly. As long as you have that installed and above my mod in your load order, my mod should work fine now.
I'm seeing the same behavior when asking Eorlund for a mace - he replies but then provides no weapon. I can buy one from his store though. Playing a male orc, if that matters.
Note that I am running this with the Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch loading prior to this mod.
That's beyond the scope of this mod. This is about the Skyforge Steel set only. It's certainly possible to create a Silver weapon set, complete with crafting and tempering recipes, but I'm not going to be doing it.
I actually recommend looking into it yourself. That's how I ended up creating this mod. I was irritated by the gap in the Skyforge Steel set, and no existing mod did what I wanted to fill it. So I downloaded the Creation Kit, went through a few online tutorials, and banged out this mod. It will take you a good bit of time, and the C.K. can be really frustrating to a newbie (I speak from pretty solid experience on that point), but the result can be worth it, even if you only do it for yourself and don't publish it like I have with this one.
How big are these weapons compared to LeanWolf's Better-Shaped Weapons, Insane Armory, Better-Shaped Bows of the Heavens or other mods like it? Would using the textures here with other meshes be ok?
Any chance of a future update incorporating other weapon types from other popular weapons mods(Heavy Armory, Weapons of the Third Era, Animated Armoury)? Like spear, shortspear, short sword, halberd, rapier, scimitar, etc?
The new weapons use the exact same texture/mesh as the Imperial Bow and the vanilla-Steel Mace, Warhammer, and Arrow. As long as the mod in question only replaces the vanilla mesh and/or texture files with new files that have the same names, it ought to be 100% compatible with this mod. It's when a mod starts going into the actual weapon entries and changing the values in there that things will start to break down.
Basically, if *all* the Skyforge Steel weapons continue looking like the vanilla weapons they're based on, then chances are that texture/mesh replacement will work fine. But if the Skyforge Steel weapons are given a unique look different from the vanilla weapons, that means actually changing the stats of the weapons in order to point at the new graphics files. In that case, there's likely to be a conflict.
How bad a conflict would be, I can only guess. I figure the best case is, the four new Skyforge weapons just keep looking like the vanilla-originals they're based on while all the others have the updated appearance. Mid case, you have some very strange looking (or even out-right invisible) weapons with no textures or meshes. Worst case, CTDs.
To answer your second question, incorporating those weapons is *possible*, but the problem is both time and ambition. Meaning it would be a very ambitious project, and I don't have much time. My only real choice would be to create a compatibility patch, and I'm still new enough to modding that doing that would be pretty daunting.
Honestly, skyforge steel crossbows and bolts would feel a bit lore-breaking to me. They were introduced by the Dawnguard, so it would feel odd for Eorlund to be making them. Also, I'm trying to limit my mod to as few master files as possible for compatibility reasons. It's only tied to Skyrim.esm right now, but adding in crossbows would require tying it to Dawnguard.esm also.
No tempering for the daggers, on the other hand, is an oversight. I'll definitely have to add that in.
