Hey I was wondering you do a version for hanging moss in the reach I found one for it but it does absolutely nothing doesn't remove anything except for MA telling people just use console commends to just delete them lol
Hello! So a mod like this requires manually moving every single individual item that is being repositioned to align with each different tree mesh that the dozens of tree replacers out there are using. This is a tedious but doable task when working with 20ish beehive references in the vanilla game, but there are over 1,500 hanging moss references in the vanilla game so you quickly see the problem. :)
Because of that, disabling the hanging moss in trees is the most expedient way to deal with this. I use and endorse Remove Hanging Moss from Trees; I have not yet found a floating moss in my game with that mod installed. And if I did come across one that the mod missed, honestly, the best way to fix it is to open the console, select the floating moss, note the reference ID, and use xEdit to add that reference to the Remove Hanging Moss from Trees .esp. Or if you don't know how to use xEdit, simply selecting the rogue moss in the console and typing "disable". Sometimes you have to use the console to fix things!
I love what you did. I tried NOTWL but unafortunatly it isn't compatible with Unfrozen and cause CTD. May i humbly ask if you think you will have the time to make something like this for Ulvenwald as well ?
Honestly not sure - if the meshes changed very materially from version to version it might not work, but you can always give it a try to see how it looks. It won't hurt anything to install/uninstall it mid-game. NotWL trees are generally thinner than vanilla trees so the beehives sit too far away from NotWL trees. Even if it's not perfect, they will at least move closer to the trunks than with vanilla positions.
Hi there; yes it will work with mods that replace the hive model, so long as the model is roughly the size of the vanilla model. If it's a different shape, then it may clip a little or float a little, but it will still be much closer to the trees than the original positions.
Okay so that one is kind of different from the vanilla model, but it looks to be roughly about the same height - you can download these files and give it a try to see how it looks. Because these are BOS files you can install/uninstall mid-game with no problems. If there is a lot of clipping, then you could open up the BOS file and find the editorID of the beehive, and play with the "posA" X, Y, Z values. They will only need small adjustments, probably. X and Y will move it side to side and back and forth on the same plane, and Z is up and down.
Hi DHDisciple! Yes, it will work on the base replacer file as all beehives are on vanilla trees. If you use either of the optional treescale mods though, you would need different positions in the BOS file to adjust the beehives to the larger trees. I will create BOS files custom to those treescale mods if there is demand, but it will take a little time.
Thanks for the response. I don't use the treescale options myself, but good to know it could be a possibilty in the future. Appreciate the confirmation!
