You are simply giving yourself pain if you persist in using it. EDIT: "Simply Knock SKSE64 DLL" (the 2nd mod I mentioned above) was updated in November of 2019. Be sure to use the latest one. Several people have reported that the earlier version does not work with the updated SKSE. It won't cause a ctd, but the Simply Knock mod won't work. (You will go straight to the lockpicking screen.)
that's a bit too much buddy. Sure that this guy fixed your problem, but you wouldn't have a mod to even fathom the possibility of knocking without the original creator, so please, be mild.
I'm only here because after hours of hair pulling I figured out this mod was causing my instant CTD. (sure, I could have installed and tested only a few mods at a time, but that would've required patience) You are a godsend.
Absolutely not broken. People just need to READ, especially the sticky comment on top! It's also a good idea in general to check the requirements tab, in case that there's an updated version of some vital portion of a mod (like an SKSE plugin for newer Skyrim versions.).
This mod includes an old copy to "PapyrusUtil SE".
Assuming you are using a mod manager, you need to put the latest version of "PapyrusUtil SE" after this in your load order or delete "PapyrusUtil.dll" from this mods folder.
If you are not using a mod manager just make sure you install "PapyrusUtil SE" after installing this mod.
I keep getting the stacks/frames overload in my game when entering locations like avachnzel, according to ReSaver these are from mods simply knock and Dynamic Activation Key Addons one, game starts to get really slow mid dungeon mostly with 10+ thousand of stacks/frames, can't figure out what might cause this.
I'm on 1.5.97 using simply knock+ 1.5.97 SKSE64 DLL updated file+just knock -simply knock dak patch+dynamic act. key+mcm+addons (in this exact order) but can't figure out what causes these stacks. Is there a way to look into this by xedit or something? cuz it's driving me nuts honestly
I think the idea of the mod is very good and honestly I've already had problems in survival mode due to having to wait outside, I have a suggestion to avoid using a menu (I particularly avoid mods that use these on-screen menus) it would be interesting if you always knock on the door if you are standing and changing to unlock it if you are down.
I'd like to report an incompatibility with this mod. I was trying to use this mod and Immersive Horses at the same time, and suddenly I could no longer activate horses that I owned. I had no idea why for the longest time but I finally figured it out. I tried a lot of things, but as soon as I uninstalled Simply Knock and started a new game, Immersive Horses started working again as expected. Hopefully this helps someone out there. God I spent way too much time stressing about my horses :(
P.S. as a side note, the mcm menu options for this mod were non-persistent meaning if I wanted it to work I'd have to reset the options every time I launched the game. Not a very good mod in my opinion. Steer clear until the mod author fixes.
