Description

SkyUI - Hide Quest Map Markers is a mod available for SkyUI that hides quest markers when you open the map. If you have a quest selected in your quest journal, its marker will not be visible on the map. Undiscovered locations will also be invisible on the map.

¿How does it work?

It's nothing more than the mapmarkerart.sfw of SkyUI file modified to "remove" the icons that represent the quest markers and Undiscovered locations icons too. You will still be able to use the Clairvoyance spell to guide you to the quest objective, as the marker still exists even if you cannot see it.

¿Why would I want to install this?

This mod on its own isn't very useful. This mod is meant to complement other mods:

With all of these installed, you get an immersive questing experience, with no quest markers, but with tools to get to where the quests send you. I recommend installing all of these mods to enrich your Skyrim experience.

Requirements:

This mod only requires SkyUI, as it is one of its modified files. Nothing more than that. However, I must emphasize that this mod is intended to complement the previously mentioned ones.

Recommended load order:

If you decide to install only this mod, make sure it has a higher priority than SkyUI in your load order.

If you decide to install all recommended mods along with this mod (the recommended option), the suggested load order is as follows:

  • SkyUI.
  • All mods that modify the appearance of SkyUI.
  • Skills of the Wild - New Campfire Survival Skill Trees (or any mod that allows you to hide the compass, for example: Toggle Compass).
  • SkyUI - Hide Quest Map Markers (this mod).
  • Get Lost - A Player Map Marker Hider.
  • No Floating Quest Marker.
  • Wayfinder - Follow Directions Not Map Markers

- Of course, I want to thank you for giving this mod (and the other recommended mods) a chance.
