Overview
Simple overhaul of Tempering weapons and armors. Now all armor (heavy and light) items will be upgraded by Metal Sheet. Weapons should be Oiled before sharpening. And for bows, you'll refresh that bowstring with a new one. Will work with any items modded or vanilla. Compatible with everything, and no patches will ever be needed.

This mod basically adds only three items. Those reusing some of the vanilla assets, so their look will depend on your setup.

Metal Sheet - unversal misc item, which is used to imrove any armor piece.
Can be crafted in Forge from:

All crafting recipes will only appear if you have atleast one of the each item to craft them.

All of those items can be found in blacksmiths stores. Also sold by Birna in Winterhold and Grelka in Riften. Those are cheap and meant to be common consumables.
Also, some of the humanoid NPCs offten carry those items.

Recommendations
Tempering That Makes Sense was made as continuation for Hammer and Whetstone and Simple Degradation by Edryu. So those are recommended.
With those two mods, tempering becomes temporary buff, which is degrated naturally during gameplay.
And with the help of TTMS, you can now actually temper your gear with resources available in the world and not ingots.

The purpose of this overhaul is so if you suddenly need to "repair" your stuff, materials will be just beside you, because player found them or prepared.

Features
- No vanilla records were touched;
- Will affect all armors and weapons in your entire Modlist;
- Safe to install or uninstall anytime;
- Compatible with every mod*;
- Neat description in inventory, so you know what those items are for.

Additional Versions
Mod presented in two additional versions:

"Tempering That Makes Sense - No armor" - Same as Main but without any changes to the armor.

"Tempering That Makes Sense - With Armor Tieres" - Same as Main but with additional changes to the armo.

Compatibility and mod functions
Basically, TTMS does nothing on its own.

But with the help of SkyPatcher TTMS doing the next things:
- Looking for all tempering recipes (COBJ forms) by filtering if their EditorID contains "temper";
- Clearing all items in those recipes if the keywords of the crafted object are (Armor/weapons);
- Adds new items based on their keywords to cleared recipes;
- Adds new items directly into merchant containers to handpicked blacksmiths (and Birma), so those items will always apear in stock.

What does it mean for compatibility?
It's comatible with everything. Because SkyPatcher make all changes at game start.
There is no possible incompatibility that can break your game. At worst, some of the system just won't work for specific weapon\armor\non-vanilla quest script.
TTMS doesn't contain any scripts or quests. You are free to delete this mod anytime; if for some reason you don't want to delete ESP, then hide all configs in MO2\Vortex.

What can happen:
- Some recipes for modded weapons or armor won't get new items. This happens because the mod author decided to name his EditorID differently. I can make a patch; link me a mod;
- Some modded weapons don't have any vanilla keywords (True Spear Combat, for example); those weapons won't get new recipes. And I won't support that. It's bad practice to not include vanilla keywords. Use KID to distribute vanilla keywords to those weapons;
- Some mods can have weird and useless conditions for tempering recipes. Someone need to delete those from esp file;
- Some mods can have scripts that rely on used material for quest completion (More info below).

Known incompatibility

Small incompatibility with Sidequests of Skyrim - Temper quests cannot be finished, disable them in SoS MCM.
This happens because in Sidequests of Skyrim, it's necessary for the player to use iron or steel ingot for tempering a given weapon.

Hard Requirements
SkyPatcher

Soft Requirements
Spell Perk Item Distributor (SPID) - Distribute new items to some NPC;
Description Framework  - Adds descriptions to the items;
The Handy Icon Collection Collective and Inventory Interface Information Injector for inventory icons.
FormList Manipulator - FLM for Honed Metal support. New items will apear in crafting menus of a blacksmiths.
