About this mod

Configuration of wetness mods to be compatible with CS wetness effects to prevent inconsistencies.

Changelogs
There are different wetness effects now and it is hard to understand the interdependencies between the amazing CS wetness effects and other wetness mods regarding the different effecrts. This mod is supposed to be a one-click solution for best visual quality and immersion, so that there are no effects doubled or interfere. Of course it is still possible to tweak the effects on their own by editing the ini files, for example to increase the number of ripples.

Base effect

Additions
  • Soaking Wet - for wetness of the NPC and player when swimming, switches back to rain shading from wetness effects when it is raining
  • Splashes of Storms - for nice ripples in the water around the player instead of the not-so-nice vanilla 2D ripples

Be sure to install all of them and let this mod overwrite the config files.

If at some point the wetness effects cover all the additions, this mod (and probably the additions too..) will become redundant.

Compatibility
If you have Realistic Waters Two installed, then the custom placed 2D rain ripples should be disabled in the MCM (disable handplaced ripples)
(optional) If you have Wet and Cold installed, I recommend to disable the not-so-nice wetness effect in the MCM (drips from the body) but this is a matter of personal taste
RASS - also has some wetness effects so could probably made compatible to the wetness effects via its MCM, I have not compared the visual quality since I prefer Wet and Cold because of its immersion features

Skyrim VR:
  • Unfortunately, soaking wet is reported to not run in Skyrim VR
  • There is a VR build for Splashes of Storms VR
