Have a problem with the file size, level of compression, or texture format? Run the mod through a tool such as Cathedral Assets Optimizer or Octagon to tweak the textures to your liking. Please be aware that at certain resolutions and texture formats quality can and will be degraded.

Hello. So I get that you mention that though the mod ERM - Enhanced Rocks and Mountains isn't a mandatory mod but recommended for the meshes. What you failed to address is how much of the mod ERM - Enhanced Rocks and Mountains we need.

For example the main would be a given of course, but then again what main? there are 3. 1. Enhanced Rocks and Mountains. 2. Enhanced Rocks and Mountains - Parallax. And 3. Enhanced Rocks and Mountains - Complex Parallax. Which one?

Then there's too an optional file Mountain Texture Pack (4K) do we need that too?

All this needs to be know rather then just saying it's recommended to use ERM - Enhanced Rocks and Mountains. And if this sounds like sarcasm it's not. Just want to be sure I'm getting the right parts of that mod that you used to make this mod from. Thanks in advance. :-)

The optional file is optional, hence why it's under the optional file tab.

The version of ERM you use is dependant entirely on you. Are you using parallax? Are you using complex parallax? These are up to an individuals own game.

Super nice looking.  The only thing is the wet rock effect is gone.

    These mountains look amazing.

However, the textures in this mod are uncompressed which takes a lot of VRAM. I ran the mod through CAO to convert the textures to BC7. The texture quality is the same but the VRAM usage is much lower now.
    Here's the result:

    Riverwood, 8K textures:
    With mod: 9200 VRAM
    After CAO: 7200 VRAM

    Whiterun, 8K textures:
    With mod: 9400 VRAM
    After CAO: 8700 VRAM

Yes, certainly needed. It was tipping my vram to the limit until I ran em thru CAO

I must say, the blending of mountains and rocks in this mod are something of a whole new level. This, in combination with 202X-parallax terrain and landscape is eye candy.

Any plans for complex parallax materials?

No, but permissions to do so are open.

So we get the regular textures AND the parallax textures at the bottom if we want to enable parallax, correct? Seems obvious, I was just taken aback by how few downloads the parallax textures had compared to the regular version, so just double checking.
