Please update your S3DTrees and Plants installation to the latest version before asking for support or reporting issues
-CONTENT v5- All trees and most of the plants of this game are now replaced. Riften forest is still WIP and will be updated. A few DLC plants are also missing and some logs/stumps as well. The Gildergreen will also be renewed. Expecting 100% completion after one or two updates.
-LOD- The pack includes prefabricated tree LOD for all worlds, except Soulcairn. It will be added with a future update. The billboards are of the highest quality possible on this engine. There are no hybrid meshes for dyndolod yet but they will be ready really soon.
-COMPATIBILITY- Check Front Page
-PERFORMANCE- It would be a major improvement over the older versions. My extended testing shows FPS drops in very specific Riften areas, where 100-120 trees are rendered at once. Other than those few spots, i was not able to find areas with significant performance issues. Yet, if you are on a tablet-spec PC or if you want the whole Nexus installed, this mod might not be ideal for you set up.
-BUGS- I rely upon your help to fix anything that may appear.
-Plants only , trees only, whatever only- Not a priority atm. Maybe in the future, maybe not.
Skyrim3dTrees supported PATCHES HERE Any older patches around are probably outdated and wont work with v5. remember to endorse -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3D Tree LOD resources BETA is up, via xLODGen beta 63 or newer (the nexus version will not work).
DLC trees NOT included yet. Billboards for (advanced) 2d LOD included in the resources pack. LODGen will use them automatically when LOD mesh is not available.
For less detailed (very) distant LOD with higher FPS, de-activate the treename_LOD2.nif files with your mod manager, or remove them manually if you not using a mod manager.
DynDoLOD users you are on your own for now, until the pack is completed. Please do not turn this forum into a dyndolod madness. Read the manual. Then read the manual again.
3dLOD for the Green Aspens version NOT included at the moment. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't know if anyone would know this or not. but is this compatible with Veydogolt - Grass and Land and Water Overhaul(https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/45764) since that mod seems to do quite a bit. i haven't tried to run the 2 together yet(will delete/update this when i have) although my knowledge of mods/modding compatibility's isn't all that good. Figured id ask incase someone else has tried or uses the veydogolt mod
I really love the style of the mountain flowers in this mod. They're cute and subtle, not stealing the show. However, I'm not sure why in my game, the style of the yellow mountain flowers is clearly inconsistent with the red and blue mountain flowers:

This replacements doesn't cover all plants 100 percent and yellow flower is one of the unfinished ones. Just use another replacement instead, I opted for Cathedral Mountain Flowers
Thank you for your generous help and warm recommendations. Prior to this, I had the pleasure of using the Cathedral Mountain Flowers mod you suggested, and it's equally exquisite and well-loved. Unfortunately, I personally feel the wildflowers in this mod too prominent in the environment—they stand out too much for my taste. However, I understand that Mount Huangshan flowers in my game are not missing or have problems. Now I'll patiently wait, hoping for a more suitable Mountain Flowers mod in the future. Thanks again!
I'm not sure what to do about this, but some plants are just pink, especially around whiterun, I've tried removing other mods, including all my model and texture related ones, but it seems to always come back to this one
turning this mod off instantly remedies the pink plants, but I kinda obviously don't wanna just get rid of it, I like this mod quite a lot and if anybody knows what might be wrong, i'd love to hear suggestions
Tundra shrub has a pink-leaved model, very similar to this mod's snowberries. It's not a bug, it's their texture. If you don't like them, you can edit the .esp in SSEdit and disable all tundra shrub models and snowberries and use another mod for their retexture (like cathedral plants).
How to fix inverted meshes for bleeding crown and white cap fairly easily and without knowing how to mod Skyrim:
1. Download BAE - Bethesda Archive Extractor 2. Open "3d Trees And Plants" zip, extract it somewhere in a new folder. 3. Open BAE, extract "S3DTrees NextGenerationForests.bsa" (it contains meshes) somewhere. 4. Inside these newly extracted bsa files locate folder called "mushrooms" (in S3DTrees NextGenerationForests\meshes\landscape\plants\s3dplants). 5. Rename s3dplants_floramushroom02.nif, s3dplants_floramushroom02small.nif and s3dplants_mushroom02.nif to have number 3 in the name (so that for example s3dplants_floramushroom02.nif became s3dplants_floramushroom03.nif) and do the same for mushrooms containing number 3 to contain number 2 (basically invert these models' names for number 2 and 3). Do the same for mushrooms that appear planted in hearthfire planters (their meshes are in "meshes\landscape\plants\s3dplants\_byoh"). 6. Download Cathedral Assets Optimizer. 7. Open it (be sure it's set to SSE profile, only tick "create BSA" and "Allow compression") and repack back the extracted mesh folder (it should keep the same name - "S3DTrees NextGenerationForests.bsa"). 8. Replace the old bsa with the newly packed one. 9. Rezip the archive. 10. Add to your game using a mod manager of your choice.
I want to swap the pine trees on the northern shores with Veydogolt Snow Pine Trees. Looks better. Can I do that somehow? What are the names of the trees situation on the northern shores?
