This process is simple, it requires no effort or knowledge and you can repeat it as many times as you need during a playthrough. It takes no more than 1 min complete.
1) Install the billboards provided in the Indistinguishable Billboards 2) Install the billboards provided in the 3D Trees mod page misc files and overwrite the previous. 3) Install the billboards provided by any mod that installs additional trees in the world spaces (Skyrim 3D Landscapes for example) 4) Install and run SSELODGen, tick the worlds you want (at least Tamriel and Solstheim must be ticked). 5) Wait 30 seconds for SSELODGEn to finish creating your tree LOD and go play.

3D LODs via DynDoLOD Not yet, do not attempt it, ignore any irresponsible 'guides' shared around that may instruct you to use the 3d trees meshes as LOD. This WILL turn your game to an unstable state and you will need a fresh installation eventually. Consider your self warned.
2D LODs via DynDoLOD Yes, practically the same module as SSELODGen and a bit better LOD atlas map.
when do 3D LODs be available I have been asked many many many times, the answer is i don't know. Check back when you can.
I tried the process above but my LOD is not working as supposed to Its a problem on your end, try again and follow the simple instructions
