Hey mate! glad your checking out the mod. So mods take a lot of work and so do the mod pages. You should read a mod page in full or just crtl F search for keywords for questions. When in doubt you should look in xedit to check for compatibility.
Long story short, please read the description page this is detailed.
im not sure what you mean but i would google the issue because it likely might be a vanilla bug or something. It wouldnt have anything to do with this mod. This mod only has overwrites really. Also myself and others have never had that issue.
is that when I went to the wall that contained the word, it did all the effect and the words learned on the screen but when I went to see in powers it does not appear EDIT:well it seems that it is not your mod but some type of very strange bug that only affects that scream
since vokrii and shout both affect damage from shouts, any advise on how to order them together?or will the affects stack either way?thanks for all the great mods by the way
First I want to say sorry for the delay I was on vacation. Usually I get back to people same day. Second I want to really point out that im very impressed that you took the time to read his mod page and mine to make a informed guess to check how our mods would work together. But that said moving forward I just want you to push just a little further and next time check xEdit before asking too just load both mods up and see if there are any edits that overlap.
To answer your question we do not interact at all. My mod was designed to be EXTREMELY compatible you can mix and match all the shout mods you want as long as they dont fundamentally break and remake the shout system. That said load order wont matter and you can use both Vokrii and my mod together. He has a perk system separate from shouts and you get a perk that makes shouts do more damage. You will get my heightened damage and shorter cooldowns but also you can grab his perks which when playing against bosses etc will make the shouts very powerful but able to do decent damage at high level. I really like the look of Vokrii and might get that mod myself actually I think we would work really well together.
Can I request you to work on the Meditation rewards and Black Book rewards in a separate mod? I feel like we could use an Edmond version as an addon to this mod.
Actually yea thats not a bad idea. I actually did that a little for myself to tell you the truth with the "Butler" you can get for example. I gave him a custom meshed massive backpack and increased his carry weight to 500 - because well he needs to be storing items somewhere and his original carry weight was terrible. As a example.
Been using this mod for a while, and it really does make using shouts in combat more fun. A lot of the vanilla shout cooldowns are absurdly long for how weak some of the shouts are.
thanks man! yea I really felt like I hit a sweet spot and it took a lotttt of play testing to get the feel right but I think i really got it down. I hope you enjoy! Also thanks for stopping by to share some positivity - Kuddos :)
This mod was designed to plug into any mod and load order and is very light - that said you can always check a mods description page or xEdit to see compatibility. All I did was look at that mods description page and nothing more but yea their mod states that it only affects Dragons minus the shout "dragon Rend" which i dont touch so yea there is no interaction with KS Dragon Overhaul. Dragon shouts and draugr shouts are not related to or used by the player - so nothing that mod does overlaps or touches anything I do. We would work excellently together - as a side note it looks like a great mod.
Hey, I have the mod installed but unrelenting force seems to be acting a bit strange. I notice how "fus" and "fus ro" does only 20+ more damage than the whole thing itself. The actual "Fus Ro Dah" only does 10 damage. Am I missing something? I also have thunderchild installed, but you said it was compatible. If anything, I do have vokriinator which is 5+ skilltrees. So I have no idea if that conflicts with shouts?
make sure my mod is after ThunderChild If you have any other issues just place my mod even lower in your load order putting my mod near last so it takes priority. Sounds like you have a load order issue. If in doubt you can always load up all your mods in xEdit and review my mod specifically and see what mods are overwriting my mod.
Great mod, been using it for a month now. I have one question: Does this mod alter the resistance against Unrelenting Force? Normally you need over 50% magíc resistance to not be yeeted away. I am at level 50 with 60% magic resistance but it still doesn't do anything. It's not a big deal but I just wanted to ask. Have a great day!
This mod does not alter the resistance to shouts - It only buffs damage and cooldowns and in some cases adds new effects or features.
That said something fun - by vanilla the ward spell can block a shout completely and it takes no impact to its use and this works for both you and for NPCs. So that could contribute. Otherwise you may have a mod that flags the NPC as immune to the shout - Some mods add a keyword flag to NPCs to stop them from being blown away. Otherwise keep in mind that its only the 3rd word that blows people away - again this is all by vanilla I dont alter any of this or do any of this.
I have used your mod forever, however, I had it flagged .esl using this mod. Your new version can also be flagged as esl. Any reason why I should not do this (or why you don´t do it)? Thanks a lot!
I dont do it because it will destroy the save if you use my mod on a existing save and switch it from a non-esl mod to a esl mod. Meaning you have my mod installed and its not a .ESL and then mid game you update my mod to .ESL - this will in turn break the game completely. You will lose your save, all your progress, and in general people get very angry. This is why most mod authors dont update old mods to .esl. Also it breaks every patch anyone made for the old mod so again if its .esl all previous patches made for it will no longer work if any exist.
Id rather let people load the gun and deal with it responsibly on their own like you did - instead of handing them a loaded gun and assuming they know how to use it (metaphorically). You can flag it .esl for your own uses no issues. Ive been thinking of offering a .esl version of the mod in addition to the .esp version. Let me know if you think hosting a second version thats .esl would be a good idea (with a warning) in addition to the existing version
Thank you for your detailed answer. You are right of course that changing from an esp to an esl (or espfe to be precise) is not a good idea during an ongoing game. I learned that thru trial and error. On the other hand esp slots are really valuable these days so I take every chance to save an esp slot. What I normally do, is to test every new esp that I want to integrate into my load order and turn it into an esl with the tool I mentioned before I start or continue my game. So far I mostly made good experiences with that - or I was just lucky. So, yes, an alternative version on your mod page with a clear warning only to use it on new games would maybe help some of us. - I still feel saver to use an esl that was created by the mod author than to do it myself. But maybe that is superstition ;-) Anyway, thanks for your mods - I grabbed two more of them today for my game...
I am in the planning stage of a Greybeard Run. Really looking forward to using your Shout Overhaul. It seemed like the one that, with some smaller mods, will be challenging without becoming too quickly OP.
Excellent! I saw the conversation about the .esl v .esp - I will try to wait until the .esl is ready to keep things simplified. I am one of the folks who needs that warning you discussed.

Maybe that has always been the case and I just dodged it.
