    Discord server:

If you'd like to discuss the story in Vicn's trilogy (Vigilant, Glenmoril, Unslaad) or just have some questions, you're welcome to join The Owls Archive server: https://discord.gg/6CkM2MncCS

The Owls welcome the knowledge you bring, little dragon. >:D

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Because people don't read and then complain, let's make something very clear:

IF THIS IS YOUR FIRST PLAYTHROUGH OF THE MOD, DO NOT LISTEN TO ORLANDO. DO NOT DO WHAT HE WANTS AT ANY POINT. IGNORE HIM. DON'T EVEN TALK TO TO HIM IF YOU KNOW YOU HAVE NO SELF-CONTROL AND ABSOLUTELY MUST DO WHATEVER AN NPC TELLS YOU TO DO.

Doing what he wants will skip the entire story and land you right in the finale, with zero knowledge of what's going on and no option to return to Skyrim until you're done (or reload a save ... which you should do, unless you're THAT committed to your actions). Orlando is there for those who already know the mod and only want to play the last act. Everyone else, IGNORE HIM!

If you complain about getting stuck in some wasteland and having no clue what you're doing there anyway, I'll know that:

    - you haven't read the description on the original VIGILANT page,
    - you haven't read the description here,
    - you haven't read this sticky.

And you'll be sacrificed to Molag Bal. No mercy.

    Seriously, people. RTFM.
    --------------------

A potentially game-breaking incompatibility has been found by LemonicDemon:

WARNING: Do _not_ use the mod " Dead NPC Cleaner " with the VIGILANT. It will remove a body in a way which prevents you from progressing in the 1st part (at least) of the mod. Happy gaming!

Translation revision incoming ... soonTM DONE

M02 says this is for a different game? And then when I open this in nexus it sends me to some weird LE vampire mod.

This is very definitely for SE and it's very definitely translation of Vigilant. Clear your cache.

Hey, since you're very knowleadgeable about the lore of the mod and even TES lore I'm gonna ask here, what is up with some of the books in this mod? A lot of them seem like they were written by that Septimus Signus guy, one in particular, "On the detachment of the sheath from the entegument" was complete nonsense to me lol, while some like the ones refering to Laza looked like foreshadowing or tone-setting, although I barely grasped what they meant.

On the Detachment of the Sheath is actually an official lorebook from ESO. :D And yes, it's ridiculously obscure ... but it's meant to be; it's supposed to be written by the Alessians - precisely, the ones who caused the worst Dragon Break in the history of Nirn (read: complete and utter time crash where cause and consequence mean nothing, impossible things happen, logic may as well not exist and utter chaos rules), and they were absolutely insane. But they weren't exactly wrong ... the book is basically musings on how to cause a Dragon Break by performing some kind of ritual involving the Blue Star/Mnemoli. This is going to be important for Glenmoril.

The ones about Laza, the Owls and the Chicks are exactly what they seem - foreshadowing for what's to come in Glenmoril and less so in Unslaad, but also a description of events that already happened and still echo through time by the time your character gets involved in the story. And that's all I will say for now.

Vigilant is only the first part of the trilogy, and Molag Bal is not your biggest concern. ;)

That explains a lot about that book lol, TES lore makes me more confused the more I read about it.

I played through the whole of Vigilant and act 1 of Glenmoril a few years back, I think I got the gist of it but I don't remember much of the fine details, what I do remember though is the Khajiit sticking out to me, they seem to have an inportant role in the story (with all the chick trader business and the many named Khajiit characters), but I didn't get the connection between them and all the daedric shenanigans going on.

Also, what would you recommend me to read about in the lore of the game to understand better all of the 3 mods?

I would say most of the books in the mod that are vanilla they all seem to be related to the subjects.

When using this mod, trade dialogue disappear to merchant NPCs like Hilda. How should I solve this problem?

Translation is exactly the same as the original plugin, except in English. Addon that makes voices work has nothing to do with LOD generation.

This is an issue on Dyndolod to fix.

Vigilant is one of the best quest mod, and this english addon sublime it. Outstanding translation, and the voices are great (Bal is the highlight, perfect for the big bad).

Thanks a lot ! And can't wait for Glenmoril and Unslaad once the trilogy is complete.

Hi, I have Vigilant translated to spanish so, can I add this mod via vortex and delete the .esp/.esm to just keep the sound files?

Make sure you activated Vigilant Voiced.esp. If you have and still don't have voices playing, then you have a conflict with some other mod - High Poly NPCs tends to be a common offender, afaik.

If you use ASIS load Vigilant Voiced.esp lower because the two mods are conflicting (no voices while playing Vigilant). You can make a patch as well (watch this simple and useful tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WSZviB4jqE8)

Dude, I just played through the whole main quest first try, got the best ending, WITHOUT any SPOILERS, spent an entire 12 hours exploring every square inch of coldharbour while having this mod installed. I did not know that the esp was off, I just thought it was bugged and I lived with it the ENTIRE playthrough. I feel like an absolute colossal dunce.

In Varla's flashback sequence wherein you board the ship to Alinor with Elona. Bal is silent when speaking to you(Dragonborn in Varla's POV). I understand the reason about the rest of the unvoiced character parts. Just wanted to point it out because this is the only this part of Bal that isn't voiced, at least in my game. Overall, keep up the good work and wish Vicn and you the best in finishing and updating Glenmoril and Unslaad. I really enjoyed Vigilant a lot and replayed it a lot and looking forward to the rest of the trilogy.

If Orlando is such a game breaking feature, why to have him? Why attach him a quest you don't wanna people to do?
If someone needs to cheat and teleport to the end of the quest, why not use a console command? It would be much safer.

I read the description, but I also have a lot of mods in my mod list. I'll completely forget that I shouldn't listen to some Orlando before I'll even meet him.

I am a translator, not the author of the quest mod.

Orlando is there as a shortcut for those who already played the mod, but he's also part of the overall story spanning the entire trilogy. And what he asks of you is so hillariously suspicious that it's visible from outer space. Not to mention that he doesn't greet you himself (Altano does, who is the intended quest giver) and you have to go out of your way to talk to him. If you aren't in the habit of talking to every single NPC in the inn, you may not even notice him.
