About this mod

A small but vital mod in your economy mod list. This mod ensures that there's high variety in gold found on merchants at any one time. Thus, increasing the value of gold in your game. Also includes optional files for my version of Really Expensive Spells (complements the Spell Research Mod (and the overall economy)), and more.

The Problem:
In vanilla Skyrim, gold quickly loses value as you go around hoarding loot from 100 dungeon runs. Then you visit your nearby merchant, who, conveniently, always has 1k gold stashed away for you, specifically.

Whilst I'm no expert on the economy, common sense dictates that the market goes through spans of surplus and low demand, vs shortage and high demand. Consequently, this has an effect on the liquid capital that merchants have, at any one time, to barter.

Polishes:
This mod mimics the "common sense" idea by randomizing the amount of gold you find on merchant. So you can find a lot of gold, a very small amount, or somewhere in-between (i.e., myriad values). Certain types of merchants, or depending on their location (e.g, city vs settlement), are more likely to have more gold or less, etc.

And so, if you show up with stacks of loot, the merchant may show you the door ("figuratively"). This can incentivize you to travel more to find other merchants, or simply store the loot in a safe place and sell in batches.

This mod, along with other economy mods I'll suggest, can make gold very valuable, which increases your immersion. Suddenly, buying that house or horse feels like an accomplishment.

Suggested Mods:
THIS MOD HAS NO REQUIREMENTS (HOWEVER, see the "IF" below)
Just see requirements bar for suggested economy mods which complement this one.
And if you decide to use Trade Routes (or any mod that adds extra gold to merchants), remember to set the extra gold to 0 in the MCM menu (else, it defeats the purpose of this mod)

IF you choose to use the optional files on my version of Really Expensive Spells, make sure you have the spell mod requirements. They will be displayed on the description of the file download.

This version still has expensive prices but they are priced more "moderately" (relatively) to complement an economy overhaul mod list. The idea being to make spell tomes valuable, encouraging Spell Researching. Spell tome loot can also be very exciting as a result.
