Changelogs
I love the Cities of the North mods, and as I was building a load order to play, I noticed that Winterhold felt a little... empty. There are some mods to deal with this: other city overhauls or patches that merge several together, even a couple that add just a building or 2. Those are also great options, but what I wanted was something that was more "on-theme" to the COTN look, added some buildings, but not a huge overhaul either.

So I present you, Cities of the North - Winterhold Expanded.

Description

Adds 4 Buildings
- The Toasty Horker bathhouse connected to The Frozen Hearth (accessible from outside as well).
- Winterhold Barracks with guards that have patrol & relaxation schedules.
- Thorin One-Eyes' House for the NPCs who work at the bathhouse.
- Abandoned House, a mostly empty house with some spiders (intention is to be a placeholder for mod integration or future changes/additions).

Adds 7 NPCs
- Guards
- 2 Day guards, one patrols the new outside buildings, other patrols the bridge outside the Jarl's castle.
- 2 Night guards, same patrols, but rotate out with the day guards so they can all actually have lives (go to bathhouse, eat, sleep)

- Bathhouse NPCs
- Owners sell mead/wine inside. Wife comes in early & shops in town. Husband leaves late & goes to the tavern. They both return home to sleep.
- Bard daughter plays instrumental music at the bathhouse, uses the bathhouse herself after closing hours (post-midnight), then sleeps at home.

Some more specific details for those who are interested (mostly about the bathhouse)

Spoiler:
Show
- All the NPCs have a set schedule they follow, I did not touch vanilla NPCs because of compatibility concerns (may make a vanilla add-on later).

- Undressing in the bathhouse works like this - NPCs that have a schedule to go there will arrive, activate a wardrobe, play an animation to undress, and then go relax. This sometimes works and sometimes doesn't because the activator doesn't know if they are trying to get dressed, or undress. It simply sets the state to the opposite when activated. So you may enter the bathhouse and they trigger a package where they go to "undress" but were already undressed from being in the bath/etc. It doesn't really matter because even if that happens, they will simply be undress/redressed by trigger boxes in the appropriate areas anyways.

- Followers are excluded from being undressed automatically. This is for RP and other reasons, but you can simply dismiss them and tell them to sandbox with whatever follower mod you have, or you can simply tell them "Do something for me" and point them to activate one of the wardrobes. If they are not in the vanilla follower faction, then this will not apply and they will auto-undress in trigger boxes. If that annoys you, you can open SSEdit and add them to the COTNE undress exclusion faction.

- The wardrobes also work for you, of course.

- Sometimes the bard stops playing music. Look, you have no idea how aggressive the bard song script is. How it ever stops on it's own, I'm not sure. I had to write a custom script to make her STOP playing so that she will do something else in life. They straight up will ignore all other packages if you don't, and play music literally forever. I'm not joking. If you want to fix that issue globally, you can use Bards - Go the F to Sleep, which will make all bards using the vanilla script act like actual humans.

Requirements / Load Order
Requires:
- SKSE64

PO3's Papyrus Extender - Version 5.6.1+
- Cities of the North - Winterhold - Version 1.1

Rob's Bug Fixes - COTN Winterhold  - Version 2.3

I cannot promise that the mod will work with older/newer versions than what I listed. Attempt it at your own risk.

Should be loaded after COTN - Winterhold & I assume all/most patches you have installed for it, as well as any other mod that modifies Winterhold or Landscapes/Navmesh in the area. I can't know everything though, and if something is odd, it may need to be loaded in a different order.

Patch load order information is on the COTN - Winterhold Expanded Patch Hub Page.

Compatibility
- Patch-less integration for iNeed/other mods that require "cause damage" flags on the bath water.
- Patch-less integration for Thieves' Guild radiant quests when using TNOTT (that mod enables Winterhold as a target).

All patches are found here on the patch hub: COTN - Winterhold Expanded Patch Hub
- They are not always simple compatibility patches, sometimes they integrate the mods a bit more than that. All details on the page.
- I make patches for mods I use, I can't promise anything outside of that.
- No, I will not make a patch that combines this with 5 other complete city overhauls. If that's what you want, there are better options than this mod.
- (If you use all of the mods I made compatibility patches for, it basically is a fully-fledged overhaul... overhaul? anyways.)

THIS MOD IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH ANY OTHER WINTERHOLD OVERHAULS BESIDES COTN - WINTERHOLD. IF THE PATCH HUB DOESN'T HAVE A PATCH FOR IT, IT PROBABLY DOESN'T WORK!

Other Information
Quick Concerns/Sanity Check
- All included scripts are simple, small, and run only on specific conditions/triggers.
- All assets have been run through the Cathedral Asset Optimizer (CAO).
- Cleaned with SSEEdit 4.1.5b Extremely Experimental, no ITMs or UDRs reported.
- SSEEdit error check reports no errors.
- No deleted navmeshes - I redid the navmesh and landscape in the areas I had to by hand and followed best practices.
- No references or navmeshes below -30,000 on z-axis (may cause performance issues - read more here).
- Record Header 1.70.
- It's ESL-flagged (as are all of the patches).
- I guess every mod that has auto-undressing has to say this: This mod does not add nudity, it does automatically undress NPCs, if you have nude body mods then.. well.. ya, they will become nude.

Things I would like to add/Improve
- The entrance to The Toasty Horker from inside The Frozen Hearth is a bit meh, maybe I will get to making an actual doorway into the mesh one day.
- The Toasty Horker in general, lol. I think it's kinda unique and sorta clunky in a charming way, but I'm no designer - that's for sure.
- More patches of course, but that's for the patch hub page.
- Maybe expand the Abandoned House into something more... I thought about making it a short quest -> player home, but because I have a patch for Ambriel that removes the house, I didn't want to force you to choose between content. Maybe I will come up with something later.

Permissions
- I am okay with anyone making patches, fixes, addons, enhancements. You do not need my permission as long as you are respecting all the proper credits/etc from everyone involved.

- Please do not use assets from other authors (which are included in this mod) without permission or proper credits. You can look at what those assets are and where I got them in the section below.

- You may NOT upload this ANYWHERE, or convert it for use on other platforms such as the creation club, etc. Or earn money from selling it in any way (making a patch/etc. and having donation points on it is totally fine however).
