I just wanted to share a quick update regarding the Busy Follower Framework. I plan to release an update to address bugs at some point, but with multiple projects in progress—including A Horse’s Life—my time for mod development is limited due to work and family commitments.I truly appreciate everyone who has downloaded the mod, shared feedback, and shown patience. Thank you for your support!
I would like to start by thanking everyone for their feedback on Busy Follower Framework. This mod has been years in the making and I've been reluctant to release it, refactoring the mod several times, adding more features and tinkering with what's already there. I'm glad that it's finally out in the wild and am pleasantly surprised it managed to reach the hot files.
There have been a lot more questions than I had anticipated and the FAQ didn't begin to scratch the surface for many of you. I've done my best to answer all of your questions and in response have added additional information on the mod page, as I think many of you have been left uncertain as to exactly how much BFF can actually do.
My best advice is to download the mod, grab a follower and give it a go. This is the best way to get a feel for the mod and decide whether it's something that works for you and your load order. I will of course continue to monitor the mod for a while, holding off on any updates until I've taken a breather and worked on some other projects for a while.
New Game only? i just install this and it seem it broke my Lydia, she only now have two dialog the a horse life dialog and follow me dialog even though i already use it on her.
unfortunately i cant bring followers to delphine, she hasnt got that dialogue, only the marker Edit : sorry nevermind i found that option, great mod btw
I tried with different vanilla followers, like Kharjo, Teldryn, sometimes the dialogue showed up, sometimes not. The ones that got the dialogue "refused" to join, its like Delphine didn't reacted to them. In the end i had no choice but to uninstall. Btw i love your himbo mods.
I noticed that the Dark Brotherhood Initiates are not included in the framework. Would there be a way for me to add them in xEdit? Or could this be something on my end?
hello! first of all thanlks for the amazing mod and all your hard work to make it happen, now i have been playing with it for a while and came across a lacking feature, could it be possible to add this one? no friendly fire between PC/Follower, Follower/Other Follower/PC mainly spells as if you are playing a mage character or have a mage follower all hell will break loose when using offensive spells and kinda beats the purpose of the mod to have multiple followers, another one feature that you might want to look into AFT as there's an option that allows you to manually level up and assignt stats/perk points giving a feeling of advancing together, again thanks for the amazing mod you made, and hope that these suggestions help you make it even better, cheers!
The mod Follower Dialogue Expansion - Jenassa does not work with this mod, because of the way this mod treats 'hirelings' as not true followers. Unfortunate, since the FDE mods are amazing! I tried looking around in settings to have Jenassa as a 'regular' follower for this mod's purposes, but no luck. If anyone knows of a way to make it work, please let me know, as this framework is really good and I would like to use it.
Because Hirelings are Not Technically the same as Followers and by extension Not Vanilla Followers. They are Mercs for a reason. You can get around this though.....sharpen your typing and read on. =)
Usually these conversation or 'something' mods need the 'someone' in slot 1. You can get around this though.
For Hirelings (they are followers with the added Merc Faction). So....just remove Jenassa (or Hireling) from the Hirleing Faction. Do all your hiring once though first. This sets them up internally as a follower properly. Click on Jenassa addtofaction 000BCC9A -1 <= This will remove her from the Hireling Faction. (RemoveFromFaction BCC9A might also work but I have never used this in SE)
Some handy info I have kept over the years. Add NPC to be a Follower Valid numbers for the faction rank vary, but 0 will always add the actor with the lowest possible faction rank and -1 will remove the actor from the faction.
Click on NPC player.setrelationshiprank player 4 (or whatever rank you want) setrelationshiprank player 4 (or whatever rank you want) addfac 5C84D 1 0005C84DPotentialFollowerFactionGives the NPC all necessary dialogue to be selected as a new follower. 00019809PotentialMarriageFactionGives the NPC all necessary dialogue to be available as a spouse. (Will not work with all races or NPCs with unique voices.) 0005A1A4Player Ally FactionWill turn the selected NPC into a friendly character. addfac/addtofaction <faction ID> <faction rank>
I am leaving the children codes out of this. I have them if wanted. BFF handles children properly from what I am seeing.
Just came here to look for info about the same issue. All her custom lines from FDE were gone. Shame. Would suit my follower framework needs perfectly otherwise.

NFF or BFF???
Can I still hire ANYONE for 250-500gp? And pay them weekly?
Can I still assign them homes and make followers wait forever without leaving?
Edit : sorry nevermind i found that option, great mod btw
(Thank you for your kind words🤗)
still wondering if this still affects rdo lite

Otherwise you will be stuck with her permanently following you because the game can't execute the Hireling dismissal script that BFF turns off.
