Death Animations for humanoids

Requirements

Changelogs

These are the death animations, which were part of the main Underdog Animations. The main mod saw considerable changes too, so make sure to check that out too!!

I decided to give them their own home, because I think they are quite unique and also because I get the feeling that a lot of people haven't noticed that the old Underdog got updated and are still downloading the old files (from v1.9.6). Probably via collections.

These are a lot more, 62 in total, and work quite differently than their old counterparts. Read further below for what has changed.
Also a new mod page allows me to show off a lot more of these :)

Some things to consider :
These animations will replace the vanilla death animation for humanoids, yes there is only 1... 2 if you want to nitpick. Since there is no way at the moment to define the type, the angle or anything specific about the killing blow, expect some animations to not fit the cause of death. Some exeptions to this are 2 animations for bow/crossbow and 1 for death by lightning damage.

Below are the full animation previews, using OAR's ingame function to showcase:

What they actually look ingame is more something like this :

Skyrim's ragdoll effect is set to occur the moment the character's body hits the ground. The animations are butchered this way, but they do act way better in game.
The caviat is that the animation's inate ragdoll is ditched in favor of Skyrim's own ragdoll. This is mostly noticable if an enemy dies on a ledge or on ground with inclanation. The old animations were like this and if an enemy died on a ledge you would see him float in the air during the animation and then ragdoll. With the new approach this is mostly eliminated and the animations act a lot better ingame.

Requirements :
Open Animation Replacer (recommended)
or
Dynamic Animation Replacer

HUGE WARNING : Underdog's animations have been redistributed by other mods over the years. Before you install the new version check that you don't have enabled any other Underdog Death animations contained in some other mod. Easiest way to do this is by checking with MO2 for conflicts. The old animations used folder numbers 2xxx43-2xxx68.
The ones I have found to do so or are redundant are :
Underdog Animations - Death Animation Guarenteed old versions. I have contacted Ethnet and the newest version should have no conflicts.
UNDERDOG Death Animations Chance not needed any more. Disable if you have it. Refers to the old death animations.
Paraphernalia - End of life old versions. I have contacted Gavwhittaker and the newest version should have no conflicts.
Death animations from Underdog animations. Disable if you have it. It uses the old death animations.

Installation :
Is straight forward. Use the FOMOD and install like any other mod. No need to run Nemesis. You can also uninstall the animations and the dD-No Spinning Death Animation.esl any time.

How it works :
No Spinning Death Animation Patch : is a patch for the NoSpDA Mod by dDefinder. The patch is eslified and has the humanoids removed from the list of death animations that it disables, so the death animations can occur. If you like the mod you should be using Slywolfe's eslified version of it, because why waste an esp slot, and even so, using my patch should work without requiring anything else. The requirements are there to honor the work of dDefinder and Slywolfe. Warning : replacing the esp from the original mod with an esl midgame, be it mine or Slywolfe's, is not recommended. You should be replacing the esl from the LITE version. Or just add my patch to have the benefits of NoSpDA and the Death animations working for humanoids.

If you have death animations double triggering (you 'll know it when you see it), this is what you need to do :
Open the Faster HDT-SMP\SKSE\Plugins\hdtSkinnedMeshConfigs\configs.xml
Find the line <clampRotations>true</clampRotations> and set it to false. It's kinda early in the xml, you shouldn't have to search long to find the line.
Save.
Done.

Strongly Recommended mods :
Underdog Animations - Death Animation Guarenteed to guarantee that Death Animations will play. Ethnet left a message on the front page about compatibility with UDA. Please disregard the message until further notice. The mod works fine with the current UDA version.

Armor Weapons used in the previews :
Chest piece from COCO Joan of arc
Various pieces from the steel and dragonbone TAWOBA
Belly piercing from Celes Nightingale armor
Backpack from Celes Rogue armor
Straps from Kinnari Armor
Book from the Twilight Princess Armor
Bow from the Shadow of Akavir armor

Mask from The Sinister Seven

As always.
Enjoy!
