Ever wondered how are the guards supposed to protect anyone, when they die to measly bandits?

1. I wanted to give the guards a good chance of being actually effective against dragons, bandits, and whatever else might show up.

This mod adds Guard Abilities spell which buffs their Health and Stamina by 100, as well as Stamina Regen, Armor Rating, and Damage Dealt by 10%. It is applied via SPID ini to all NPCs belonging to IsGuardFaction.

Since the faction used to find guards is from the base game, it is used not only by all the Skyrim guards, but also guards in new lands, such Republic of Maslea, Falskaar, etc. FYI, it is also used by some seemingly non-guard characters, such as orcs from strongholds, Civir War related NPCs, or Companions. I don't see it as a negative, to be honest, because Companions could use a boost too, and strongholds have to be protected too. Civil War is likely to get tougher though, which is the only concern.

Since the application happens via SPID, there are 0 conflicts with any mod changing anything about the guards.

2. Additionally, I wanted giants and mammoths to be threatening enough to avoid. They now receive 5% of the incoming stagger, deal 50% more damage, have 300 more health, and get ImmuneStrongUnrelentingForce keyword. It is applied through SPID to MammothRace, GiantRace, C00GiantOutsideWhiterunRace.

This way there are no Race edits whatsoever.

While conflicts are avoided, best not to use it together with other mods already making these actors stronger, unless you know what you're doing.

3. Since 1.2, the mod also includes trolls. Anyone with ActorTypeTroll (vanilla keyword),  such as Trolls and Frost Trolls, gets: Health Regen +50% (when not on fire), Stamina Fortified by 100, takes only 10% Stagger. Their Fire Weakness is still there and is very exploitable. But if you don't have any fire in you, run.

4. Since 1.3, includes dragons. Make sure to disable that feature by deleting or commenting out the corresponding line in the ini file, when using a dragon overhaul of any kind. Anyone with ActorTypeDragon now has 200 more Health, Resists 90% more Poison and 50% more Magic, gets additional Armor Rating of 300, deals twice more physical and breath Damage, takes only 5% Stagger. Dodgeable Dragon Shouts or a similar mod is advisable.

Designed to compliment Know Your Enemy and True Unleveled Skyrim.

How to disable features:
Spoiler:
Show
Open Simply Stronger Guards&Giants_DISTR.ini. It is a text file, best opened with Notepad++ or any built-in text editor.
Lines that start with ; are comments, they describe what the next line below them does. The comments are for you to identify. The line after is for the game to execute.

For example, if you want to disable this mod's effect on dragons, find and delete:

";Adds Dragon Extra Strength spell: Deal twice more physical and breath damage, take 5% Stagger, +300 Resist Damage (= Resist Physical Damage = Armor), 90% Resist Poison, 50% Resist Magic, +200 Health to ActorTypeDragon
Spell = 0x812~Simply Stronger Guards&Giants.esp|ActorTypeDragon|NONE|NONE|NONE|NONE|100"

Save the file and close it. That's it.

Known issues:

Same as Simply Stronger Dragons, or any other mod using modifiers, it suffers from an engine bug. The Health bar of the enemy will not show any movement until the enemy's health is lowered to vanilla values. It is strictly a UI bug, damage is applied, you just can't see it.

Scrambled Bugs is strongly recommended, because it has the Actor Value Percentage fix for it.

Scrambled is also needed here because of Perk Entry Points: Apply Multiple Spells. It is disabled by default, but needs to be enabled in ScrambledBugs.json for the mod to work properly, because armor and damage multipliers are used.
