For FYX - Campfire Reacts to the WindEmbersXD Edition Click Here !

Hi all !

This FYX will complement my previous FYX and Rudy102's mod. (They are complementary so to get the full effect you need all three.)

In case you haven't noticed, when using these two mods above, some smoke or sparks were not reacting to wind.

This is where this FYX comes into play, fixing the few campfires that were not reacting to the wind.
But the biggest part was on the Giant Campfire, which must have taken me a few weeks, mainly through experimentation with particles (which is rather new to me) and the little reading that exists on this subject.
I tried to improve this Giant Campfire to make it more violent, more vibrant, more epic!

And as always I found a few things to FYXed.
I'm not a fire expert (nor arsonist) but in my experience a fire of this size and oxygenated should not produce this big smoke like the Vanilla mesh does. In addition, it was buggy, it jerked a lot... It produces a lot at the start of combustion, due to lack of oxygen or if you throw a lot of weird product on it or water on the embers. In short, I changed that with a more subtle smoke that reacts to the wind.
Changes the color of the wood glow from rose/red to orange/red.
Accelerate the flames, fix certain bugs on it (triangle and lines visible) and add some fire particles. Use a custom gradient to change this “rosy” color.
Adds a loooooooooooot of spark particles. Impossible to make as much spark as a real fire of this size but in any case I tried. :)

Performance

I don't know, on my PC config I didn't see any difference.
But since I add a lot of particles (only on the Giant Campfire) maybe with an old PC you will have a loss of FPS. Tell me. You can uninstall it at any time anyway, there is no ESP so it will never affect your saves.
In any case, there will surely be adjustments in the next updates.

Settings and Adjustments

 (Will be completed later.)

As there are multitudes of ENB/Reshade presets, Weather Mods etc... it's impossible to make something that will be good for everyone. So I'm going to place some parameters here that you can easily change with Nifskope. In my case, the screenshots were taken with Obsidian + Rudy for Obsidian

  • Not enough particles displayed?
    • Go to SkyrimPrefs.ini in "[Particles] iMaxDesired=" and change the Value :  (Mine is 10000)
  • Giant Campfire flames intensity
    • Open the mesh with Nifskope and find the Node “Flame01 and 03”.
    • On the "BSEffectShaderProperty" find the line "Emissive Multiple" and change the value:    Less <= 3 => More
