About this mod
Power Attack Plus aims to make combat more engaging and to keep lower level nuisance enemies relevant. It should be compatible with other combat mods that do not make changes to races. USLEEP and Requiem versions available.

* Updating to a new version should be fine as long as your save is not in combat. If you use any patcher, be sure to run it after updating. Simply uninstall the previous version and install the new one. If you are updating to a version that requires Asaforg's Requiem Tweaks 1.1 and up, you will need to start a NEW GAME.
Updating Asaforg's Requiem Tweaks from 1.1 to 1.2 or 1.3 can be done safely on a current save. 1.4 will require a new game.
The short version:
This mod adds damage that ignores all defense to power attacks that are not blocked or warded against. Blocking prevents the extra damage and using a ward spell prevents the extra damage. If the attacker's stamina is too low, no extra damage will be applied. This adds challenge without needing to flood the game with extra spawns.
This does NOT apply to hand to hand attacks.
There is also a knockdown chance when the defender's stamina gets too low. The attacker needs enough stamina to preform the knockdown. You can be knocked down even when blocking or using a ward if the stamina conditions are met. These vary from race to race to keep the knockdowns from happening too often. These changes apply to the player and most of the enemies in the game.

100% passive. You just need to fight smarter.
See the video section for more!
Compatible with mods that do not change the races. I checked Wildcat - Combat of Skyrim and it has no conflicts.
Install/uninstall with a mod manager.
** If you have custom races in your game, as long as they use one of the vanilla races for their attack race, this mod should apply the changes to their power attacks. This can be checked in TES5Edit very easily. Load your custom race mod and look at the Race. Check Attack Race and see if it is a vanilla one.
Cleaned with TES5Edit.
No scripts.
No quest scripts.

The long version:
I love playing a heavily modded Skyrim. No matter what though, lower level enemies quickly become nothing more than a nuisance. How many times have you walked into a full bandit camp and just laughed as they tried to get your health below 99%? Then you slowly kill them without a worry in the world. Well not anymore! Sure, your the Dragonborn, but you shouldn't become invincible at any level.
The idea for this came to me when two bandits surprise attacked me on the road. Requiem adds great advanced AI so they came at me from the front and the back, both with power attacks and I bashed the one in front then quickly turned and blocked the rear attacker. I then killed him and turned just in time to block the first bandit and then kill him. It was awesome, but I knew I was really in no danger because my defense was so high. This mods adds the needed danger.
How you ask? It adds damage that ignores defense to unblocked/unwarded power attacks with a chance of a knockdown when certain stamina requirements are met. Stronger and larger races do more damage and have a greater chance of knocking you down. Of the humanoid races, Orcs do the most damage while Khajiit, Altmer and Bretons do the least. Low stamina will prevent the extra damage from being applied to the power attack. I will put the specifics in a spoiler. I know many of us like to discover new things and be surprised! I did my best to make it feel realistic. For example, does it seem right that any humanoid could simply block a massive dragon bite or the swing of a giant's club? Sure you can mitigate the damage, but your not gonna stop that wrecking ball momentum with your shield or ward spell.
Anyway, here are the damage details:
Certain enemies are immune to the extra damage. Dragons, dragon priests, giants, and ghosts. Because many cannot block or cast wards.
Orcs do 100 extra damage.
Nords do 85 extra damage.
Redguards, Imperials and Dunmer do 75 extra damage.
Argonians and Bosmer do 60 extra damage.
Bretons, Altmer and Khajiit do 50 extra damage.
Frost atronachs do 125 extra damage.
Vampires do 200 extra damage.
Giants and mammoths do 200 extra damage.
Trolls, werewolfs and werebears do 150 extra damage.
Dremora do 125 extra damage.
Gargoyles do 50-100 extra damage depending on type.
Many other enemies have comparable damage. Skeletons do 50 while Draugr do 85.
Dragon bite attacks do 10,000 extra damage. Yup, don't block or ward and you will die.
No small enemies have been altered.
The knockdown details:
Nords can when the enemy is below 40% stamina and they have greater than 40% stamina.*
Redguard, Imperial, Dunmer, Argonian and Bosmer can when the enemy is below 30% stamina and they have greater than 50% stamina.*
Bretons, Altmer and Khajiit can when the enemy is below 20% stamina and they have greater than 60% stamina.*
Trolls, werewolfs and werebears can when the enemy is below 80% stamina. No stamina requirement for them.*
Draugr, skeletons and other humanoid enemies have comparable chances.*
Large spiders can with their lunge attack if you are not blocking or casting a ward.*
*Gaining resistance to the strong unrelenting force shout will block these knockdowns. Also, having the Requiem sneak perk "Acrobatics" will block it.
Giants can when the enemy is below 90% stamina. No requirements for them. No possible resistance.
Giant spiders can with their lunge attack. No requirement for them. No possible resistance.
Dragon wing attacks can if not blocking or casting a ward. The Requiem sneak perk "Acrobatics" will block it.
Dragon bite attacks will. No possible resistance.
