Hello everyone, does anyone more experience with this mod know if it is compatible with Better Series - All in One? That mod adds some placed objects to Raven Rock and despite Tes5Edit only states there is one direct conflict, i don't know how the rest of objects would behave with this mod.
Bethesda didn't even remember the ancient Nord (pre-stupid Skyrim lore) burial mound where the Snow Prince's armor was preserved. Hell: they didn't even remember to include said 'armor' in-game! Remember the older (authentic) lore that described the Snow Elves as having mastered the spear and usage of heavy armor? Yeah: Todd and his boyfriend Emil certainly don't.
To be fair with the spear thing, there are no spears in the game so it would be weird to have the extra time to make a spear with animations made just for that one weapon or you would be swinging it like a normal 1h weapon or normal 2h weapon as they all use edited versions of the same animations so it would look a bit weird. The armour though I have no anwser for.
There is a recent mod for DAR called 'Skyrim spear mechanic' that solves this problem quite nicely. The animations look great, with no hint of Skyrim's bland vanilla combat system in sight.
But as for the armor issue: I 'do' have an answer for it: laziness. Bethesda gambled, and discovered that they can make the shallowest, most empty ''RPG'' (not) out there, and still sell it like crack on the street corner. This is why I have no hope for Elder Scrolls VI: it will just be Skyrim, but even more shallow and watered down.
I know about the spear mechanics we have now but they did not exist back when the game was being made and that was the point I was trying to make about the spear not being in the game.
And yes I agree that the armour was not added becasue of laziness as it was not even added with a non-unique model like the Ahzidal set which is just a Ancient Nord set with enchats.
Ah, I see what you mean now. That was 'also' laziness on Beth's part, as spears were removed in Oblivion for no real reason and never re-implemented. It's like they are fully aware that they don't have to give a damn anymore, as a legion of easily-impressed morons (aka: 'fanboys') will buy their games no matter what. Hell: if ES VI takes place entirely within the confines of a 10X10 log cabin (thanks, Razorfist), said idiots would 'still' buy it, lol.
And yeah: almost all of the ''unique'' weapons and armor in the game are just renamed standard iron or steel weapons with standard enchantments on them. It's getting so bad, they don't even bother to reskin them anymore.
I'm honestly worried for the future of Bethesda. They seem to be following Bioware down its path to ruin.
really want to use this! i have Clockwork also...but it's been merged into a large merge i made. it works fine but i can't use your patch because it requires the clockwork.esp as master (which is no longer in my load) and it references items in clockwork that now have different formids. so just how bad is the conflict between Quaint and Clock? is it just a door i can move w/ Jaxon's or tesedit ect? thanks
also the masters are out of order. dragonborn before dawng. but worse, when i try to sort them in tesedit, i get an assertion failure. never seen that before. worries me

Hi Undriel! Congrats for your nice Raven Rock, the best til now! But there are two things on the mod preventing me to use it. Loot detected a dirty plugin with 28 itens and bugs on the navmeshes of the followers. I beieve you already tried to resolve this two, but they are on the mod yet. Good luck if you still wanna fix it, im waiting anxious to use this.

Safe to upgrade mid playthrough, just overwrite.
Please upload your screenshots, I'd love to see them :D
